Wedgwood White 5-Piece Place Setting

We bought this china after getting married. We think that the pieces are simple, yet elegant. We've only broken one piece and that was totally our fault. Even a friend's toddler drop a plate and it didn't break. These plates are very tough. The edges of the tea cups are so smooth on your lips. They are great. The edges of all the pieces are very smooth. The only problem we've had so far is just with Wedgwood the company. When we broke the one piece, we tried to contact them about their discount replacement policy and we received no replies. I know the company is going down the tubes, but we still love these pieces, so I just ordered a replacement piece from somewhere else. Other than the company itself not doing so well, we love these pieces.

My husband and I bought eight place settings of these dishes almost 4 years ago when we got married. We love them! Classic design, beautiful to look at and use, and white goes with everything. The tea cups and saucers are especially nice and we love drinking tea now! We've only chipped one saucer so far (I whacked it on the edge of a marble counter top when putting it in the dishwasher). We now have a 16 month old baby and she eats off of these everyday, just like us, and they've held up fine. We even had another little girl over who knocked her plate off the table onto the wood floor and it didn't chip or break. Bone china is fantastic for its durability. Sure, you'll pay more up front, but these should last forever!

I wanted this set for the bread plates and tea saucers, but had planned to mix with the 4-pc set so I would have bowls too. Unfortunately the dinner and salad plates from the 2 sets are not identical, so I returned this set and purchased the 4-pc (in a 16-pc set) instead. Also the teacups were very small. I like the mugs in the 4-pc set better.

I love Wedgwood fine bone china. This set is white but not basic at all. It’s very classic and goes with everything. I’m obsessed with the tea cup’s shape and size. It’s super cute!

These settings are very fine and I purchased to use every day per reviews by others. I ordered 14 place settings, which took a while to reach me, and when they did, we'd lost only one setting due to breakage - not bad. We're replacing it and look forward to using these beautiful dishes.

Wedgwood production moved to Indonesia in 2009, and the dinner plate I got from the new issue is very ordinary looking. Not worth collecting.

I always wanted to own a set of these dishes. They are clean & classic. Each set comes in its own box perfectly packed & I'm looking forward to enjoying them for a long time. If you're thinking of passing on this set because it doesn't have a bowl, you can buy them seperately & get soup or cereal shaped depending on your preference.

My wife and I bought a Wedgwood Glen Mist dinner service some years ago. Since then the dinner plates, stored in a sideboard, have spontaneously fractured over time. Wedgwood appear to be quite unconcerned and have suggested we buy replacement pieces. I don't know if this is a problem with other Wedgwood china products but I certainly will not buy Wedgwood again.
