No this is not a T-ball bat. It was the lightest that I could find for my son that was actually approved for the minor leagues. I hope that helps you.

Q: What size bat for my 10 year old

I would recommend Googling bat sizing charts. Some vary, but I would go off of your child's height and weight vs. age. There are also some videos on how to select bats. My son is 6 and has moved up to coach pitch I got him 28 in/ 15oz which is the smallest size I can find for him and it is a little big. So he is having to adjust.
