My husband and I researched for hours and days and actual months looking for an in-home printer occasionally, we like to take pictures on our phone and we will have to print our pictures at our local CVS and pick them up or we can have them delivered for a fee a lot of times we need to print paperwork or fill out applications for doctors offices prior to your new patient appointment and we got sick of running up to our staples or local UPS store to pay to have things printed scanned or faxed so we spent several hours both him and I on our phone separately researching every brand printer, every different kind of printer, ink, jet LaserJet refillable tanks looking for a product that had all the features we wanted combined into one, but yet Affordable and good quality we wanted something that scanned and had an automatic document feeder. We wanted a printer that automatically printed duplicate siding we wanted something that had the ability to have both black ink and colored ink. We wanted the ability to be able to print our own photos scan and fax we had printers in our cart ranging from $60 up to $400 and they were more that were even more expensive. We paid close attention to the details that it had everything that we wanted and a big part of our decision came on reviews just like the one that I am writing the reviews helped us with this. We wanted something wireless something that we could use with our phones my husband is an android lover. I have an iPhone we needed something compatible we needed something easy to set up. We are in our late 40s and we are not tech savvy whatsoever even though it comes with directions we just aren’t up-to-date with technology like most kids are today because that was a big part of them growing up. They grew up with cell phones and PlayStation and computers, etc. so this was easy to set up he took it out of the box opened it up, connected it to the Wi-Fi. Downloaded the Cannon PIXMA app on our phone and we printed a test page within a matter of seconds. It does print on the slower side, but that’s OK. The printing is quality it print photos. It has an automatic document feeder. It holds a good amount of paper. It is a little bit large, but that’s OK. The price was unbeatable and I also researched the cartridges that I would be using to make sure that they were Affordable and they were so it was like $42 for a black and colored ink cartridge so that’s not bad. we don’t print every day. We print occasionally a paper here and there occasionally we print a photo so we’re not everyday users of a printer, but we did want to have the capability of all the things that I mentioned above an automatic document feeder automatically printing on duplicate sides to save ink and paper faxing capability printing quality photos. This meets all the boxes and it’s Affordable and the best part. It’s so easy to set up you download the Canon Pima app. You connect it to your Wi-Fi through your phone or laptop and you’re printing in a matter of second. The app is user-friendly. This is hands-down, a easy to use quality all in one printer for basic home use

So far so good I like that. It came with a black and colored cartridge usually they’re not the full cartridges, but it did come with it. It also was easy to set up setting up. The Wi-Fi wasn’t as user-friendly according to the instructions, but it was easy enough to figure it out. I manually did it and was able to easily put in my Wi-Fi username and password without any problems. It connected right away, and I went to my phone and the printer was automatically there very easy. I’ll send you a screenshot. Also it was a two sided print. This printer sucked the paper back in so quickly. I got scared because I thought it was gonna do a paper jam. It didn’t it printed the other side seamlessly was really really great big difference from the Canon that I think is like T3 500 but it was so that printer was so bad paper jam just shut the whole thing down. You couldn’t open it to get the printer the paper jam out of it. This printer from the same company is easier to open so if there’s a paper jam that tears, I think it’s it looks much easier to get your fingers in there and open it because there’s several different compartments that you can open in order to get the paper jam without struggle. I like that it has a scanner I was able to set that up and overall I’m happy with the purchase for the price. This is definitely worth it. It looks good and I like that you can close the paper tray when you don’t need to use it the other model. I think you had to keep it open. This is just more compact, neat, and easier to maintain. Also, there are three options to copy and print which I really like that has a top paper tray it has another one that you can use on the full length of the printer, and then it has one paper tray on the bottom that you can pull out and so far so good it does not come with the cord that you need to the USB cord to attach it to your computer to print that way, but like I said it prints just fine through Wi-Fi and I chose to do it from my smart phone and I highly recommend this for the price. If you’re on a budget this would be a good option. I think I also used a generic brand ink for about $19 for the pack. It said that it will print 900 pages so we’ll see but compared to Cannon‘s high price for ink cartridges. That was a huge discount and Cannon took that brand just fine. It takes 275 and 276 and cartridges and I’m happy with purchase so far.

EDIT AUG 15 - Printer broke after printing approximately 50 pages - one day after the 30-day return notice. Something guiding the ink and paper feeder snapped and was hanging out of the mechanism. Complete junk. Run far away. I made an impulse buy on Prime Day. I just needed an all-in-one printer to replace the HP that was giving me fits and the price was right. My mistake for not looking more closely at it. The form factor is a complete throwback to the 90s - it's big compared to modern printers, and the loading/printing is from the front, which isn't great. The screen is hard to read, and everything is as flimsy as it could get without breaking immediately. The setup was a pain, and you are directed to a subdomain to download the software, which of course, isn't approved by Apple. The download page, itself was built in the 90's and the search function doesn't work, the printer doesn't come up as an option but if you mess around long enough, the list of printers completely changes and it appears. Network connection takes several minutes. There is no set-up walk-through and the desktop app is not installed with the initial download, so the rest of this review is based on best guesses and user error until I went hunting for a desktop app out of sheer frustration. The downloadable manual, like everything else, was a complete flashback to the 90's technical writing style. It's 434 pages and written with no thought to workflow - Set up isn't even mentioned. Four hundred thirty-four pages and no Quick Start Guide. Cool cool. Each section has drop-downs for the steps with links inside the drop-down. Be sure to note which page you are on because if you click one of those links, there's no going back. You won't find the user manual. (After I found the desktop app, it does have a link to an online version of the manual that is easier to navigate, but it's still really old-school.) The colors are not sharp or saturated. All colors are faded and pastel. After figuring out troubleshooting on the printer menu because I had given up on the manual, I ran all the usual tests and cleaning, hoping for better print quality. Nope. It'll do for printing out text-based material, but you wouldn't dare to try to print an image or photo. I'll keep messing with it. Desktop app - again, it's not included in the original download and it's outdated and most things link to the horrible website. Mac users - you will need to download all the functions software individually, as well. Be sure to buy ink!!! The starter pack of ink will not get you very far. Two test pages, a nozzle clean, and a one-page text document has already made a noticeable dent in the ink levels.

It arrived the next day,well packed,compact and not big or bulky. I was replacing a Hewlett-Packard Office Jet 4620 which was very good after almost 10 Yrs! I’ve been testing thios Canon it only for 2 days so time will tell. It does print pretty well. I printed texts that were perfect and photos on regular paper just to test colors. The set up to Wi Fi was SEAMLESS!! I didn’t even have to think. It’s beautifully connected to my iPhone 13,IPad and obsolete iMac from 2007!! It’s an absolute pleasure to navigate all the features needed on 3 devices and get a perfect response! So far,so good. NOW for the disappointing features. The printer is shoddy and parts with flimsy plastic,especially the confusing paper load and catch tray!! U have to handle that tray with care or it will break like a dry twig! I never saw such a weird,3 part folding paper tray! It was the most complicated thing to figure out-the entire paper aspect. Next it does what it’s supposed to do but it is very “primitive!” What was fast,automatic,efficient in very few steps on the HP is NOT this Canon. If the machine is not used for a few hours/over night,it has to be turned on “manually”before u can ask for a print job! It is wireless but there is no “sleep” function so I left it on. It turns off after a time so it cannot find the Printer online to select for the job. Unless u stand up and go to the printer to press the start button u can’t print! Slow print speed,and not a high capacity for big jobs without refilling the paper. So all in all it is a good printer given it’s only $79.00! It is a watered down,simplified printer but it is doing what I need it do do so I am ok with it so far. For several reasons I was turned off to the the HP Insta Ink Program. They make it hard to cancel and they were deceptive with me. For now I will see how expensive it gets with the Canon using cartridges. I print a lot. Then I will decide. The Caanon website is alot more user friendly than HP which is helpful. I hope this review helps!

This printer was SUPREMELY easy to set up, install and use. Comes with starter black and multi color ink cartridges (total 2), includes power cable, fax cable, some basic install instructions via web browser. Note: I am an ADVANCED computer user, so BEGINNING and INTERMEDIATE users may not find the set up process so easy. Also, I am using Windows 11, so the setup may be easier than with other operating systems. Unboxed printer, plugged it in (happy to discover it wasn't a proprietary plug). LCD screen is small and lays flat (no tilt up), so you probably will have to stand up over the machine for part of the installation. Installing the ink cartridges is semi-intuitive. I did that step before I was supposed to, no big deal. Connect it to your wireless network via the printer screen menu, you should be able to navigate to that option easily. If your wifi network password is multi case, you may have a little difficulty finding out how to capitalize the letters. After you connect to your wifi network, just go to setting on your PC and add the printer under devices. Congratulations, you're done. Print a test page from file or a page on your web browser. Couldn't be simpler. Paper tray probably holds 50 sheets, maybe a little more. Color printing is slow, but I don't care because I'm not a heavy user.

I’ve been extremely happy with this Canon PIXMA TR4720. It’s a great all-in-one option when you want one compact machine that can handle printing, scanning, copying, and faxing without needing separate equipment. Setup was straightforward, and I really appreciate the wireless functionality. Being able to print from my phone is incredibly convenient, especially when I need to print something quickly without having to transfer it to another device first. The wireless connection has worked well for me and makes the printer much more convenient for everyday use. The print quality is excellent for the types of documents and everyday printing I need to do at home. Text comes out crisp and easy to read, and the color printing looks good as well. I also like having the scanner available for documents and other items, so this machine has become much more useful than a basic printer. The automatic document feeder is another feature I really appreciate. When you have multiple pages to scan or copy, being able to load them into the feeder instead of placing every page individually on the glass saves a lot of time and effort. The built-in fax is also a nice bonus for anyone who still needs fax capability. I like that it comes with the starter ink, phone cable, and power cord, so you have the essential accessories included to get everything up and running. The overall design is practical for a home office, and it gives you a lot of functionality without requiring a separate machine for every task. If you're looking for a dependable home printer that can do much more than simply print, this is an excellent choice. The wireless and mobile printing, good print quality, scanning, automatic document feeder, and built-in fax make it a very versatile machine. It has been a great addition to my home setup, and I would absolutely recommend it.

This is one of the most inconvenient and poorly operated printer I have come across. Too many settings have to be adjusted. Can't multiple copy, the document feeder won't take more then 3 pages and it pulls to the right (nothing in the way for that to happen) all the time and constantly jams. And uses up ink really quick. I can go on . . Won't purchase another Cannon ever again!

I haven’t had the chance to use it much but the setup was very easy and the copies I have made were of good quality. In the past, every copier/printer I’ve owned has had issues with the ink getting clogged in the hoses from infrequent use. Others have told me that this one doesn’t dry out like the others. We shall see. I hope they are right. So far I like this one and hopefully I will have a chance to use it more often.

Screen is difficult to read unless you have a light shining on it. Other than that, it works great.

The product was easy to set up for the basic functions. Still have not got the fax function to work as yet because I do not hear the fax signal when it connects to another fax machine. So far the ink tanks it came with still have enough ink in them but I expect them to run out any day now. The tanks are fairly expensive.

El plástico es de muy baja calidad. Muchas funciones son manuales. El ADF es muy malo, te arruga las hojas y todo sale chueco. No es ahorradora de tinta y los cartuchos muy caros. Son mejores las HP!
