Does this pocket watch take batteries?

Yes there is a new battery installed in each pocket watch.

Is this watch only designed for a wedding gift? Can it be used for a Christmas or birthday gift or are there engravings on it that pertain only ?

You can add the engraving details to the customize now option. It can be engraved for any occasion.

Can they engrave a symbol?

This would be a custom order. Our engraving system is partial to certain vector capabilities. We would have to see the design and inquire about the amount of items to be engraved. Its then possible that there can be other charges for custom work that has to be done, thanks.
