Well researched and well presented book
This book is a very well researched book on a subject that most people either know nothing about or prefer to ignore. After suffering a great deal of pain, especially to the neck, shoulders and arms, so much so that I had begun to have real problems just getting dressed in the morning I took to the internet to find out what could be causing it. Thankfully, I came across various websites that dealt with the high oxalates found in many plant foods, grains and spices and realised that I was consuming many of them: spinach, almonds, other nuts, buckwheat and wholemeal grains etc. etc. After further searching, I came across Sally K Norton’s and the VP foundation’s websites where I found really well researched information regarding oxalate toxicity and how it affects us.In this book these issues are dealt with in depth and backed up with a great deal of research. What is also really commendable is the guidance given on how to tackle a low oxalate diet - how to do this gradually so as to allow the body to cope with stored oxalate release which can cause inflammation and a flare up of symptoms if not handled properly.I cannot recommend this book highly enough, if the option were there I would give it more stars!

Even if you feel like you've tried everything, buy this book and give the low-oxalate diet a try – you won't regret it!

Great information I wish everybody knew
Great info, I wish people would be willing to learn more about it...I just thought she could have added few brief warnings about histamine, salicylates, nightshades and things that are often coming with it.But apart from that it's a great tool to start to live better...I love Sally for all the information she shares and other has helped me a lot.

Challenges one's preconceptions regarding what is a healthy diet.
Well researched and the data regarding high oxalate foods can be used immediately. Makes sense and can be adapted to personal needs and preferences. There's a lot of information and guidance in this book but the key points are rapidly established to give confidence that it is going in the right direction. Definitely worth a read. Long held beliefs about certain healthy foods are forthrightly challenged but with scientific reasearch data to back it up. Read this book with a willingness to change your mind on some food types and prepare to be surprised at how beneficial it could be.

Amazing Books
Within a week of cutting out high oxalate foods mentioned by Sally in this book and her data companion my energy went through the roof, i needs less sleep and my brain felt clear. I was already high energy, so having even more was amazing. Lots of my friends and clients are finding the same now too!

very helpful for a minority of people and scare mongering for the majority of people
Very helpful for a minority of people effected by the sydrome and the result of a huge experience of the author in overcoming her health issues. However it is liable to make the majority of people unaffected by oxalate accumulation unnecessarily paranoid of regular healthy foods. She fails to emphasise the regulation of oxalates in the body and the type of health ennervations that lead to a failure to regulate oxalate balance in the body, such as poor microbiome.
