Zona 37-434 L-Square, Stainless Steel, 3-Inch x 4-Inch

This is a very small square. I read some negative reviews for this tool and almost didn't order it, but suspected that those who are giving this tool a negative review are doing it for two primary reasons: 1. They didn't realize how small this square is and 2. They thought they were getting TWO squares for this price. It's an expensive square for what it is. It is thin, not thick like the type of square you would use in a wood shop. A lot of the people that ordered this square probably thought this was going to be a rugged, robust tool for heavy duty work. It isn't. It's a neat little square for small projects and hobby work. I don't have a $200 German square to compare it to, but for my purposes, this thing is pretty square (and accurate according to other metal rulers that I've put it next to). I just used it to make measurements to a small wooden box that I built, where I don't have room to use a large square to measure the rabbets I made with my router. Some have also said it's "way overpriced". Yea, maybe by a couple of bucks. How much do you expect to pay for a stainless steel 4" square? Fifty cents? I have found it online for as low as $9, but then there's shipping. If you've got Prime, this isn't a bad deal!

This tool is perfect for what I use it for, which is taping off inner rectangles on cards that I watercolor. It is perfectly 90 degrees and small enough not to be clumsy to use for my purposes. It is nice to finally buy a quality product, made in the USA, that is not hideously expensive. Good job to the manufacturer! I will keep them in mind for future purchases.

Some tools just become ones you keep finding things to do with. This little square is perfect for quickly testing corners of cut wood for straightness. It's great for a quick check of blade alignment. I use it to help me line up the fingers of box joints in my box joint jig. I use it to calibrate fences or miter gauges. I used it to check my plunge router for reality on its relatively crude measurements of depth. I've had it a few months and dropped it and covered it with dirt and placed tools on it (none of these on purpose) and it didn't bend. The markings are clear and have good contrast. Cleaning is easy, just blow on it or it necessary wipe with a damp paper towel. It looks a little pricey but I consider it worth having anyway.

It is a good square. It is actually square. I wanted a 4-inch by 6-inch or something close to that configuration. I wanted the measurements to be Imperial and Metric. I settled for this one because there was nothing else available in the size i wanted. This size is a bit small but usable. I am concerned about the thickness of the metal. It looks like it may bend easily. I wish it was thicker. Again I had to settle. All in all it is a useful tool

I like this little ruler with Euro/US measurements. A little too small though and the edges can cut your fingers or hands with you don't handle it carefully. For occasional use, it should be fine though. I will keep it anyway because not only I like it but also, it is Made In the US! It is today so rare to find something not made in China... Not saying that everything made over there are bad, not at all but I support with no hesitation the American businesses that make items in America!

It shows measurements in INCHES as well as centimeters. I understand centimeters, but folks buying earring in USA do not. I needed both.

Ok first of all, this is a great tool. It is really useful for measuring small things or for model making. I use it to make 90 degree cuts with an exacto knife on small pieces of material. It is very handy for this and has become an essential tool in my model making kit. BUT and this is a huge but, the metric side of the ruler is just wrong... the first centimeter has NINE millimeters instead of the TEN that make a centimeter. The inches side is accurate and totally fine, but how could they mess up the metric side so badly? Everything you measure will be a millimeter off. For a tool designed to measure the length of things, this is totally unacceptable. The only reason this is not 1 star is because it is a well made tool that I find very useful, and I mainly use inches anyway.

I am a 'caliper carpenter' - I do lots of small woodcrafts. This is my go to small square. I know the price looks high but it is worth it. What is better than having 1 Zona square in my shop? Having 2! Yes, I bought a second one at this high price and use them both regularly.
