Image is grainy and microphone and speakers don't work well for larger conferencing needs

The first thing that strikes you about the Toallin 4K camera is its size. It's pretty big for a product described as a webcam, measuring some 18cm across. I'm not sure quite why it's so big, but I would say that it gives more surface area to the speakers and microphone, and as the audio performance is just fine (even in a large office) that maybe justifies the size.The attached mount sits the camera nicely on top of a monitor, although sadly my model slightly leans to one side so it isn't exactly straight. This isn't a big deal though and doesn't compromise the performance of the camera. Set-up is very easy, just plug in the USB cable and Windows 10 will configure the device. Moments later you are up and running.The image quality is good and the promised wide viewing angle delivers. Depending on your application you can vary the image size, but even at 4K the image reproduces on-screen well and the camera performs admirably. The aforementioned sound quality is plenty good enough (still not up to a proper set of speakers but not bad at all), although generally I use a headset regardless.I'm not familiar with the Toallin brand and a web search didn't enlighten me any further. I'm therefore a little confused about the price of £159.00 as I'm not sure if you are paying a premium for a brand. The price puts the camera squarely in Logitech territory for a 4K device and there are plenty of alternatives at much lower price points. Although this camera delivers, it may be worth shopping around for something just as good but a bit cheaper.

This huge Webcam can produce vibrant picture quality but not in normal room lighting. Under normal lighting, during the day, this webcam is barely usable as you can see from the dark picture I captured. I sit near a window. This webcam cannot handle high contrast scenes which is surprising considering its price because my very cheap Webcams are pretty much usable in this situation.I like the picture quality when the room lighting is significantly boosted by adding lights on their light stands. This is necessary when streaming or recording how-to videos but not when I just want to skype or have a Zoom meeting. At this price, it should have been capable of acceptable performance in normal room lighting conditions.The integrated Microphone and Speaker are of very high quality. I have the Webcam mounted on a Monitor 0.8m away from where I sit. Yet the Microphone has no problem picking my voice. When I lean on my chair I am a metre away but people I chat with say I am crystal clear. The speaker is crystal clear and the sound is nicer, a bit heavier than that from other webcams. It is like it is coming from a small portable speaker.

The speakers are clear for voice use but don’t go that loud without distortion.Overall.This is an expensive webcam aimed at the business market. As a conference system it works well. For most people it will be overkill. We use it a lot in the office and its been very good as I would expect for the asking price.
