Q: How well do these work on wet surfaces? I will be hiking through river beds over slick rocks.

I only use them on cement.....but as they wear they do become smooth on the little section where you put them down the most....so thru slick rock might not work unless they are brand new....then I would say yep, they would be fine.

I think you're asking about the little nodule at the very bottom, which is about 3/8 of an inch in diameter, and protrudes about 1/8 of an inch from the rest of the nodules. I have never had a problem with these getting stuck anywhere, and I use them all day every day. And I have been using them for several years. But admittedly, I don't use them much on boardwalks. The only problem I do have is that occasionally, if I let a door close against the stick as I'm holding it, the lip of the bottom part can get caught under the door. But then I just push the door open wider to free it. I hope that helps.

I don't know specifically, but I have used them on several different poles and they fit well on all the ones I've tried. And if too big, you could put a rubber band underneath on the pole to make a snugger fit.

No, but the rubber is very thick that trekking pole doesn’t poke through. The tips are very sturdy, not flimsy, provide really good traction and fit snugly on the pole. I used one pair when walking Camino Frances; lost the poles about 250 miles into the walk and the tips were still in good shape. Couldn’t find a similar replacement tip and had already given my extra pair to another walker. By the way I also bought the original poles through Amazon; great quality and price.
