Too pungent and bit bitter
I used to order this pickle since years, and when i got today, the taste is different now. I feel it is too pungent, i can feel the pungent and little bitterness than the usual i used to taste. It is disappointing for me as i personally love bambooshoot pickle. I wish that this is taken care of. When i was eating, i felt like this would create problem to stomach, that's how much i feel the pungency. And also there was this bitterness which i never found before when i used to order. Other than i would say the texture of the bambooshoot is still fine. Even the amount of oil and spice and salt is fine for me.

Make chicken curry with this
Remember, bamboo shoot got an unique smell, don't buy bamboo shoot pickle expecting mango pickle kind of smell. The aroma is the character. Please don't rate this bad because of the smell. Please.I use this pickle exclusively to make bamboo shoot chicken (North East style). 1 kg chicken is marinated with 1 bottle of this pickle for 1hr, then fried with chopped onions, some potatoes, beets, carrots, greenpeas etc along with 1tsp garlic and 1 tsp ginger paste, then just add some water (250-300ml) and boil for 30mins. Tastes heavenly.I used to make this dish with bamboo shoot bhut jolokia pickle that I used to procure from Shillong or Guwahati through friends. That's way more flavorful and spicy than this (also cheap)... However this is close enough and in 2020 this really helped.

This is the first time I have ever tried bamboo pickle and I really love it's flavour and it's taste. Now this pickle is going to be part of my kitchen

Not tasty
Bamboo is cut such a way that u can’t make out if it’s even bamboo, it has other chilli pieces too which is unnecessary too much vinegar or oil or whatever that liquid taste is can only taste vinegar and not bamboo

Tasty..loved it
Tasty n not that chilly..Good to eat with any veg or non veg item... gave a repeat order of 2 bottles..u can add momo sauce if u want to make it spicy

Ok product
Unlike conventional pickles, this has a mild flavor. Contains ginger and red chillies additionally. Good to bear that in mind.
