I bought this specifically to wear on my Pacific Crest Trail thru-hike attempt starting March 18th, 2019. While I did not finish the trial (ran out of money), I did wear this for about 4 months straight. I washed it when I could but fortunately it did not hold smell. This helped to protect the back of my neck from the vicious south California sun. It easily connects to any hat and works well. Two things that could help improve the product: - This was just a tad too short. I am tall - 6'4" - and have a long neck. This worked well with my collar flipped up but without it flipped, a sliver of sunlight could hit my neck. Making the product a tad longer (1-2") would make all the difference! - Making a version that allows the user to wrap it around the front so that when the wind blows, it will stay put. I used safety pins sometimes to secure it to my shirt but a better answer would be a button or buckle that would help it stay put. This would of course require longer (wider?) fabric but would be a pretty easy design change. I spent a lot of time amongst windmills and boy do they blow. Overall, this is a great product and it lasted me so well that I still use it to this day.

I needed to protect myself better on holiday. This is a must for me along with a cricket hat to protect me from getting sun burnt when I go away in the summer. I recommend this with a cricket hat to protect from getting sun burnt every time (Put it on your holiday list!) especially when skin cancer exists.

Sono molto sensibile al sole e ho preso questo "riparo" per il viso. Mi piace perché ha dei micro fori e permette di respirare senza appannare gli occhiali. Unico difetto, il laccio di cauciù non si può sbottonare, è fisso e quindi quando lo si toglie tira i capelli.

This is a superior product. Best face covering I now own...I am a PE teaching and spend most of my day outside and on the move and I’ve gone through my fair share of face coverings trying to find the right one that will stay in place, keeps my neck and face from overheating, and allows you to breathe while being active...and CoolNES out performs all the rest!

The absolute best tent hat to cover so much of my face on my weekend runs in the mountains. Yes, you look silly but I’ve recommended this to more people on the trails than I can count. Yes it will take some time to get used to. Yes it’s breathable. Yes, it covers everything but your nose. There are 2 snaps so you can undo the top for more breathing room by your mouth.
