Real Gurkha spirit — authentic, heavy, and built to perform
In short, this is a real, heavy, and masterfully hand-crafted Gurkha kukri. The full-tang, hand-hammered blade is solid, sharp, and balanced — a high-quality, functional, and historically authentic Gurkha kukri built to last. A must-have for serious knife enthusiasts, outdoors adventurers, and collectors alike. This kukri is built for performance, not decoration. The 3/8" spine, edge geometry, and full-tang construction make it ideal for heavy cutting and splitting. Its weight and balance allow precise control and long-term use. The Gurkha brand engraving confirms authenticity and reflects the high craftsmanship expected of genuine Nepalese blades. From experience working with Gurkhas, I can attest this kukri meets professional standards: durable, reliable, and versatile. Perfect for outdoorsmen, collectors, or anyone who appreciates authentic Gurkha craftsmanship, it excels in both display and practical use.

faulty sheath
I received my Gurka Kukri the other day. Upon pulling the Knife from sheath and placing it back into the sheath was very difficult. Removing the knife from the sheath was like removing Excalibur from the stone. I had read that weather temperatures could cause wood to shrink. I really oiled the blade and tried placing it back in and drawing it from the scabbard. I have other Kukris and know the do's and don'ts with hand placements on the sheath as protection. I noticed pieces of wood inside the sheath, so I banged the debris from within. I think the problem was the end of the sheath changing the angle of the blade when going in and out. Upon placing the knife back in the scabbard, the tip of the blade went through the shoulder of the sheath nearly sticking my hand. The cut was approximately 2-3mm's. Once again, I own two other Kukris knives and I am aware how to use the knife. As far as the knife itself I was very pleased. The blade was heavier that my Cheetlange. The knife was razor sharp and seems to be very well made. I guess I will have to be creative and make a sheath for my Gurka Kukri.

My go-to knife in the field. A workhorse that will outlive you.
'That's not a knoif, THIS is a knoif!!' The real Kukri's are such an amazing tool, and weapon. I've collected and used hundreds of knives in my day, love a lot of them. But I'd trade my Ka-Bar for a Kukri in a heartbeat. The spine on the blade is 3/8" thick. You will never bend that. The handle is an evolution of comfort and function, and even with sweaty or bloody hands, it will not slip. The scabbard is nice, save for the two little knives, they can be a bit tricky to get in and out, but you dont use them all that often, so I'm not concerned about it. If you like machete's, and hatchets, and hammer fists, and a solid stabby, this knife wins.

Raging Dumpster Fire, DO NOT BUY...
Stay away from anything this company is selling. It's trash. Stick with reputable brands ie,. Albion Ltd, cold steel, dark swords, citadel etc... and almost anything from kult of athena... This is worse than the flea markets...

Technically accurate advertising, but not the best deal
May be technically authentic, as far as I know it's genuinely made in Nepal and the visual style is definitely that of a modern kukri. But it has little or no distal taper, so it handles more or less like an edged brick. If you want a bludgeoning instrument which can also draw blood, it's pretty good, but I wouldn't recommend it for bushcraft or the like. If you're willing to wait, there are companies which will custom make higher quality kukris to order for about the same price.

Where state firearm laws prevent defending oneself, this is a welcome deterrent hanging beside the door.

This product is totally unacceptable
The kukri knife would not fit in the sheath. I tried numerous times and various angles for about 30 minutes. It never went in more than halfway. The pommel was bent and distorted. The small knife and temporary sharpener had rusted. The grind on the small knife was rounded and uneven. It will not sharpen. For military equipment this is unacceptable!
