Miracle in a bottle *Not a paid review*
I have the world's most sensitive skin. I break out from just eating something with oil or if I change up my skincare routine I break out. Each pimple I get leaves a scar. My husband bought this for me on August 16th, and this is my review from using it for about a month-and-a-half. Two weeks into using it my cystic acne and acne in general stopped. I get really bad acne around my period And I didn't get a single pimple during my period for the past two since using this. Not only has my acne went away but my scarring is starting to fade. And this is only a month-and-a-half in. I'm honestly excited to see what 5 months brings! I use it morning and night, primarily on my cheeks. I recommend this to anyone struggling with acne. This isn't even a paid review, this is my honest review from a 26 year old women who struggles with acne. Highly recommend if you've tried everything.

Love - so glad it's on Amazon!
Absolutely love this product and so happy to find it on Amazon with faster delivery and easier ordering after going directly through Evologie for at least a year. This product is basically a magical elixir for my sensitive skin with rosacea and crazy acne, which popped up in my mid-20s and is still going strong ten years later, despite several dermatologists' interventions. šIt is gentle enough and neither dries my skin out not causes it to get greasy. I still get some breakthrough pimples with hormonal or weather changes - or if I skip this for more than a day. For reference, I'm using this immediately after a gentle cleanser in the morning, followed by an EltaMD moisturizer with sunscreen. (I tried and hated both their cleanser - didn't clean well - and cream - too greasy AND still missing sun protection - when I originally found this product in a set.) I also use a gentle exfoliating cleanser each night, EltaMD night moisturizer, and add a light hydrating/calming serum morning and/or night as needed for extra moisture. This isn't the cheapest thing out there, but is one of the few I've found that works without causing collateral damage, so it is an essential in my house!

One of the better Finacea substitutes
Like many people I came across this product as a substitute for Finacea after my health insurer refused to cover it. A key cause of acne is that your skin fails to shed properly which clogs your pores. Azelaic acid is good for forcing your skin to shed correctly - I combine it with a prescription retinoid as part of the skin care regimen recommended by my dermatologist, and the results have been excellent. Now for me pimples are rare, heal quickly when they do appear, and any dark spots fade quickly as well. What I really like about Evologie intensive blemish serum compared to other azelaic acid formulations is that it doesn't pill when used in conjunction with other products on your face, there's no objectionable odor to it or irritating perfumes, and there are no ingredients that can are potentially comedogenic (pore clogging). There are some cons with this product. One, they don't advertise how what percentage of azelaic acid is in this. It's kind of important to know how much of the active ingredient is included. I called the company and the answer is 14%. This compares favorably with Finacea, which is 15%. Why not just put this on the packaging? I'm not sure why 1% more of the active ingredient requires a prescription, but whatever. The other main con of this product is the value proposition. It has dropped in price a few dollars which is a good thing, but it's still pricey for what you get - .5 oz (the travel size is even smaller). On the flip side, that's still much cheaper than Finacea, which will run you just under $400 for 50 grams (a little over 1.5 oz), so maybe I shouldn't complain.Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this product. It can be used as a spot treatment or as a preventive that you apply to your entire face daily. I use it in the latter capacity. One pump (about the size of a pea) is all you need. Using that much daily, I get about 2 months out of a bottle. Not bad, but I'd still think at least an ounce would be a better value at this price. 4 stars.

This simply doesn't work. Others products do.
This product simply does not work. I had a stubborn pimple and put this cream on daily. Zero results. Then, I go out and buy Neutrogena cream for "stubborn acne" and the pimple starts disappearing in a matter of hours. I have no idea why this Evologie product is getting such good reviews. Also, I noticed that it contains azelaic acid, which is the main ingredient in the prescription medication, Finacea. This latter medication take about a month to start working but it addresses acne really well and makes the rest of your skin really fresh looking, too. While insurance doesn't always cover Finacea, one can buy it online at a certified Canadian pharmacy for a reasonable price and each tube lasts a really long time. I find that other products claiming to contain azelaic acid contain much lower concentrations of it than what is contained in Finacea. Don't waste your money on those other products and get the real thing. Also, if you have stubborn acne, the above mentioned Neutrogena cream works wonders!

Works Wonders
I initially received a sample of this in my Birchbox and was pleased to find it on Amazon for a great price (compared to other online vendors). Iāve been using this serum regularly for about 5 months now. And since using this serum Iāve had noticeably clearer skin with virtually no cystic acne breakouts. Iām also able to confidently leave the house with little to no makeup which I wouldnāt have done a year ago! This product truly has changed my life. I just canāt say enough good things about it. I just wish it came in a larger size. Iād highly recommend giving this a try!
