Godefroy Hair Color Tint Kit, Dark Brown, 20 Applications, Root Touch-Up

I'm so glad I found this product! It is easy for me to tint my blond eyebrows a darker color in less than 3 minutes. I was previously paying an aesthetician to tint my eyebrows every couple of weeks but she was charging me $15 each time and it was always a hassle to go in so frequently. But without any color on my eyebrows, I have to pencil them in or I look like I don't have any eyebrows at all because they are such a light color. Also, penciling them in or using an eyebrow powder never seems to look realistic so I really prefer to have them dyed. It is amazing what having darker eyebrows can do for your entire face! I feel like I need less makeup and still look pretty good when I go out as long as my eyebrows look okay. To use this, you simply open the capsule and put the powder in a small dish or bowl. Then use a capful of the included developer and mix it together. Once you've made a cream out of it, you can apply it to your eyebrows. I am very careful to just apply this cream to the part of my eyebrows I want to tint, not my skin or hair below. It can really stain your skin and you'll have to scrub it off for awhile to get it off, so I recommend being careful. After a few minutes have passed, I take a paper towel, fold it in a square, wet it, and put some soap on it, and wipe the dye off my eyebrows. They are instantly darker! I started out using the medium brown color but I think the dark brown color gives a more dramatic eyebrow look and still looks natural. I have blond hair and still think the dark brown looks perfect to frame my face. If you are worried about it being too dark, the best thing to do would be to put on the dye for one minute, wipe it off and check the color. Then if it is not dark enough, use a little more and keep it on for a minute or two until it is dark enough. This product is pretty foolproof and once you get the hang of it, you should have no trouble at all. It saves me $$$ from paying an aesthetician every 2 weeks! The color lasts only for a week to 2 weeks on me-- I don't think that is a problem with the product itself, but is due to the fact that eyebrows are shorter than normal hair and are constantly growing and falling out. Even when my eyebrows are dyed professionally, it only lasts up to 2 weeks.

I have eyebrows that grow downwards, and are very sparce and it's hard to get that nice arch that I prefer so I have to cut and tweeze a good amount of them making them even more sparce requiring me to fill them in everyday if I want brows lol so I was looking for something that not only dyed my hairs but also my skin in a way and this kit did work. It dyes quick so I'd recommend being careful when applying but if you make a mistake or need to clean them up it's possible. I also recommend letting the tint develope for about 10 even 15 minutes before applying. The dark brown is pretty dark but is still capable of ombreing so worked out. For me it lasted about a week but I wasn't doing anything special to preserve them so you might get a little longer out of them if you put in a little effort. But the week was well worth it for me,it takes the same amount of time as filling them in but you only have to do it once to get a weeks worth at least? And toy only use such a small amount, unfortunately you do have to kindof use the whole capsule but you'll get at least however many capsules there are applications, more if you use half of a capsule each time.

Just used it today (3 hours ago) on my eyebrows and before use I scrubbed my brows a good amount. Then afterwards I cleaned my brows with alcohol and let it dry before I applied a thick layer of dye. I left the dye on till it dried up. Reason leaving it on so long is so it would stain my surrounding eyebrows. I wasn’t sure how to clean it up so I just used a cotton swipe and water and let dry before the next application. The color for me was dark brown like I wanted. After the first application I retouched it up till all of the dye was gone. It didn’t really burn, but my pain tolerance for beauty is higher than most people’s from what I’ve learned over the years. I can’t tell you the longevity, but from what I’ve read it lasts a good 6 weeks give or take. I’m definitely going to use sun screen moisturizer and use gentle soap to make it last longer. I am also planning on not washing them for three or four days. I plan to wash my face with a rag and just go as much around them as I can. If I remember I’ll come back and update the longevity, but no promises. Update from the first week after dying my eyebrows. The stain lasted on my skin for a good 6/7 day before I redid the dye on my skin. I didn’t washing my brows (only the surrounding area on my face) for 3 days before washing them so the stain would last longer. Overall I’m happy not to have to throw on my brows every morning. This is a temporary fix until I can get them microbladed. Saves me 10/15 mins every morning and I don’t feel as rushed. The second application took less time because I still had stain on them and could see where to put the dye. Overall I still like the product and how easy it is to use

UPDATED. I've now purchased this twice and to my surprise - it's even better now. The small capsules that contain the dye powder was very hard to separate without crushing. With this recent purchase (6/2021), the capsules are now more substantial and way less fragile so it's easy to separate the two halves w/o making a huge mess or crushing them. I have thin aging eyebrows and this product is so easy to use, does not stain the surrounding skin and works well. I used dark brown and left it on for at least two minutes. I wipe it off with a wet cotton pad and it comes off easily with darker brows. ORIGINAL REVIEW. Better than expected. My brows are thin because of electrolysis in the 1990's (it was the style then). I got the dark brown and it turned out darker than I thought, but I quickly got used to it. It does cover the gray brows too which are gnarly and like to stick straight out. I was surprised how quickly it worked. I left it on for 2 minutes and then removed it with a damp cotton pad. My brows were quite a bit darker. I was NOT careful where I put the mixture, I just brushed it on and got quite a bit on the skin. It didn't matter, no burning at all and easy to wipe off w/o staining. I first did it three weeks ago and my brows still look good. My brows are quite narrow and thin so adding more color makes them appear thicker.

The picture shows the same kit and color purchased at different times. The darker one in the little black cup was purchased in 2021 and the lighter one (supposed to be the same color) was this purchase. I first started buying this same kit in 2020 during the lockdown. I've only purchased the dark brown. This latest purchase is not only new packaging, which is OK and there is no indication that the color has changed from the previous packaging. When I mixed the new one, the color came no where close to the previous one. It is MUCH lighter and almost looks gray. I did have some of my last purchase left, thankfully, so I mixed that up. The picture tells the story. As I used the darker for my brows, the other did turn darker. I let it sit to see how much time it needed to develop the dark brown color like the one I used. IT TOOK ABOUT 75 MINS FOR IT TO GET DARK BROWN. By then, it had gotten clumpy and hard so I had to add a little more developer to smooth it out so it could spread. Godefroy please return to the original formulation for this color! It worked so well and covered my gray hairs.

Uh, hello, this product is dope AF. I have suffered my whole life from pretty sparse and invisible colored brows. It's weird, because my hair is pretty dark brown, but my brows look like fishing line and I look like an alien with no makeup on them. I was snooping around the internet doing some research on microblading, which is basically like tattooing on your eyebrows, but it's pretty expensive, and only lasts a few years, and also I don't really trust other people to semi-permanently choose the shape of my brows. I stumbled across this product on Instagram I think and decided to give it a shot. If you regularly draw on your eyebrows, then applying this will be a breeze. If you have dark hair and wear your brows dark, then you don't really even have to worry too much about how long you keep this product on. I usually do 3 applications at about 7 minutes at a time each time I dye my brows. I noticed in other reviews that there was some discrepancy on how long this product lasts, and I think I figured out where the difference is coming from. If you have pretty full and nicely shaped brows, but they are light colored and you want them darker, and you are only using this product to dye the ACTUAL HAIRS of your eyebrows, a single application of this will last for weeks. HOWEVER, if you have thin, sparsely furred brows and are using this product to dye the SKIN under and around your actual brow hairs (like drawing or tattooing would do) then this will really only last between 2 and 4 days depending on what you're putting on your face and what kind of activities (like sweating) you are doing. Either way it is still worth it. It is so nice to wake up in the morning with eyebrows instead of looking like Bob Geldoff in The Wall. I also get about 3 applications from each little "pill" so this product should last a good long while before I have to reorder. Overall very good purchase that I would recommend to anyone who wants darker, fuller brows.

Even though this dye was slightly more expensive than others for sale on Amazon, it was worth it!! I am so happy with this eyebrow dye. I was colouring in my eyebrows before with a dark brown eyebrow pencil because my eyebrows are naturally so light that you can barely see them on my face. I really hated the way that the coloured in brows looked and could never accomplish making them look more natural. This kit is super simple to use. You mix one capsule of powder with 1 equal part of the cream that comes in a bottle. You brush it into your eyebrows with the provided small makeup brush. I let the dye sit in my eyebrows for a little more than 5 minutes, but it says only 2 minutes or less is really needed. I was not sure how well it would work, which is why I left it for longer. You simply take a gauze pad with water and wipe off the excess dye afterwards. It truly dyes your eyebrow hair itself, nice and dark brown. Only the tiniest bit of dye was left on my skin, which dissapeared after showering. Now I don't have to waste time colouring in ugly eyebrows, as I have permanently dyed brows. So far the colour hasn't faded, and I do not think it will change until my eyebrows actually grow out. This is worth your money!! Perfect product, so happy with this!!

Pros: One kit has way more applications than the Just for Men. Colour is good. Application is easy. Comments: careful with this stuff. It will stain your counter and it's dificult to get out. Wipe it up right away. Also, add the gel before you add the dye. The dye is a extremely light power and will blow all over the place if the gel tube has an air pocket! Cons: The capsules can be a bit tricky to get open. They are also a bit brittle. If you use scissors to open them they snap back to their original shape flicking bits of powder flying.

Works well, tints quickly. Have used on eyebrows and eyelashes. Dark brown appears more as black with first application but fades to brown.
