Will it work on walk around style boat?

As long as there is a center console to attach it to, yes. It bolts down to the floor of the boat, but it also has 4 offset tubes that attach to the console to give it strength. If you can't attach it to a console, it will be too wobbly. My boat is a walk around style boat.

How tall is the bar on the side , I have a 2004 scout and I have a door on the side just making sure the bar on the side will not Restrict my door?

Front leg it's 32 in from floor to the bottom of the bar rear leg it's 27 in from floor to bottom of bar
