We bought the A3 Razor scooter for our 6 y/o and he loves it so much, but he always wants us to rides scooters with him, so we bought this bigger A5 version for my husband and I to ride when he wants us to go out with him (he's autistic and would ride his scooter 3 miles away if we let him go on his own). It's perfect! It has a taller handle with wider handlebar and bigger wheels for a smoother ride than the smaller one. The only problem is that now the 6 y/o wants to ride this one instead of the one we bought for him haha! We let him sometimes, since the handle bar is so easy to adjust. This is a great scooter for a commuter or for adults who need a way to keep up with their kids like us! My husband is 210lbs and eve he is comfortable on it. It's very well made, sturdy and high quality. The real deal. I can definitely recommend! And yes, we paid full price for both! I absolutely love this. It was perfect for my 12 year-old son who just outgrew his smaller razor. It was easy to put together. It’s a good color perfect all around would definitely recommend.

I bought this for scooting around the neighborhood with my 11 year old daughter, and enjoy it so much I take it out and loop around the block even when she doesn't want to go. I was originally keeping up with her on her older brother's original Razor with the small wheels (which is at least 13 years old and was heavily mistreated, left out in the rain, etc, but still works fine, a testament to Razor's durability), but got tired of the small wheels nearly coming to a stop and lurching me over the too-short handlebars every time I hit a crack or expansion seam in the street. I found the higher handlebars of the A5 Lux definitely make for a more comfortable upright posture, and the larger wheels make a world of difference in riding over cracks, while also making travel faster and less effortful. The footbrake also seems to work better on the larger wheels. The deck is nicely sized for my size 11.5 shoes, 5'10, 195 pound frame. The clever little kickstand also makes things easier, the scooter remains standing upright instead of having to be picked up off the ground, it's surprisingly stable. Also, the A5 doesn't seem to want to swing around and painfully bash into my ankles the way the original model does. All in all an excellent upgrade, and it's so much fun I don't care how silly I probably look as a 43 year old man on it, zipping up on it instead of driving to the little cafe-bakery at the front of the neighborhood on Saturday mornings. Note: I bought a heavily discounted one, because it supposedly had "major" cosmetic flaws, but I looked and looked, and couldn't find anything wrong with the one they shipped me.

I'm an adult and I just moved to a city. I bought this scooter to commute. I have to say, it would be GREAT to spoil an (older) kid with, but it isn't so great for commuting. Disclaimer: I had it for a day and didn't ride it very far before getting tired of it. The good: - It feels very solid -It's easy to fold and unfold, and it all clicks into place nicely -It rolls pretty well, it doesn't lose much speed on smooth roads -The brake works well The bad: First, the kickstand. It tucks under the platform, and you can't "kick" it out, you'll need to use your hands to put it down. Also, it's a little more challenging than I expected to get it to stay standing up with the kickstand. You need to be very careful about leaning it over, or else it won't balance on the kickstand and it'll tip over anyway. Second, I don't know what the other reviews were talking about when they said it was a smooth ride. This is a Razor scooter, and while it is slightly better than the scooter I had decades ago as a child, it still rides and feels the same. If you're riding on a smooth, freshly paved road, it's great. If the road is even a little cracked or bumpy, you will feel every bump and start losing speed quickly. I tried riding it a couple of blocks to the grocery store, but I had to turn around because at that point it wasn't much better than walking. All in all, if you have an older kid you want to buy a scooter for, this would be GREAT. It's solidly put together, easy to fold and unfold, and you can get some pretty good speed. It's not a great scooter to commute because you can feel every little bump in the road and it'll lose a lot of speed on the older, rougher roads. And yes, I did accidentally clobber my ankle with it like the good old days.

My daughter absolutely loves this scooter. Big upgrade from the smaller one. She flies on this thing! I skateboard with her and am pretty good and I can't keep up if I tried. She has to slow down just to let me hang with! Quality seems top notch, it was easy to assemble and the scooter seems strong. I'm sure it will last a long time. The bigger wheels also make it smoother over bumpy services which is really nice compared to the smaller version. I like this design much better and it should fit her as she gets older since the older one was too small for her. Price also seemed really reasonable compared to other options! Really happy with this one!

I am female in 30's who lives in Los Angeles area. Every Saturday, I have a language class in LA downtown where parking is expensive and some of the street meters are inaccessible due to certain conditions on the streets. The parking structure provided by my school for free is 10 mins walk from the classroom. Walking for 10 mins is easy and nice, but not when you are late or it is filthy hot. It started getting very hot in LA and I have been late to the class for a few times. Then I saw adults skating the kick scooters in downtown on my way to the classroom. To be honest, I have not seen adults skating scooters before.. - or maybe I did not pay attention to. It looked so efficient and did not look awkward for adults. So I got myself one. This one has 20cm wheel, one click folding system, is in silver chrome color as opposed to those blue or pink or graphics, and cheaper than all the others. There's nothing fancy about this scooter. No suspension, no air wheel.. But that's about it I don't think I want to pay $200, $300 for suspension. The first scooter I received had a dent on the deck and the handle was not aligned. Returned. The second scooter I ordered has never arrived. Finally, the third scooter was the one to keep. Razor might need to improve their product quality and shipping process. As soon as I decided to keep this, I removed the "razor" sticker from the handle rod and the grip tape from the deck. I put my own little stickers on the rod and the black paradox grip tape all over the deck except for the small area around the joint. It looks very nice now and has great grip. It takes less than 5 mins now. Had not been for those crosswalks, I could have been three mins. 70% gain in time with $80 investment. I am very satisfied. I also bought a used electric scooter E300 from Razor but found this manual kick scooter is more useful when it comes to a short commute. eScooter is too heavy to casualy load/unload to and from the car trunk. For my 10 min walk, it would add good 2-3 mins just to load/unload and wait for the elevators up and own the parking structure, albeit the actuall ride time will be reduced by a minute or so from the current 3 mins using the manual one. Overall, a great buy for my purpose. and It is very very fun zipping around the streets.

Yesss yes yes!!!!! Get this! Don’t waste your money on the cheaper ones you find on here. I was fooled into buying a cheaper off branded one and it broke after a week. This one though.. has been AMAZING. my husband exceeds the weight limit and it still holds very strong. Easy assembly. Great overall product!

I bought this for my son's 7th birthday. It's wonderful and he loves it. It's lightweight, easy to use, and the adjustable handlebars will allow it to grow with him. His older brother has had an older Razor scooter similar to this for the past few years and it's quality and ability to stand up to rigorous use impressed me. Both boys love how stable the scooter is, that they can put both feet on the large base when gliding, the ease of breaking with the rear brake, and the kick stand that allows the scooter to be free standing when not in use. This is a quality product and I would definitely buy from Razor again.
