Lansinoh Lanolin Lip Balm, Moisturizing Lip Care, 4 Pack, 0.25 Ounces Each

I recently started Accutane and for the first month and a half dry lips were my biggest and worst side effect. Before starting accutane i had relatively soft lips and I just used Vaseline lip therapy every night and every morning and the occasional lip gloss during the day. By my second month of accutane that wasn’t cutting it anymore and my lips were dry, cracked, and it hurt to open my mouth. I tried aquaphor lip repair and it helped but only while it was on my lips, it didn’t feel like it was healing anything. Then I found out about lanolin from a random Reddit thread and I’m not kidding when I say it’s a game changer. This is the first pure lanolin lip product I’ve ever tried and I’m so far loving it and I think everyone with dry accutane lips should try it.PROS: It feels super hydrating and moisturizing. It lasts really long on my lips- even longer than Vaseline and aquaphor. It’s glossy, like the absolute glossiest lip balm I’ve ever tried which I wasn’t expecting because often lip products are either glossy or moisturizing but rarely both so I was very pleasantly surprised. Even after it’s gone from my lips (which can take a few hours) my lips still feel soft and hydrated.CON: there’s only one and it doesnt really bother me but lanolin is sensitive to temperature so in the cold it can get stiff and/or whitish so i have to either warm up the tube in my hands or warm the product up on my lips so that it doesnt stay white and I can see that high intensity shine do it’s thing.Lanolin is my new favorite lip ingredient and using it together with Aquaphor healing ointment (not lip repair) has restored my lips to their former glory. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say they’re even better than they were pre-accutane.While this review is more about the wonders of lanolin than about this specific product, I got this brand because i saw it the most recommended. Anyway, I like the size of these, they’re small and very portable and a good value for money. It also came as a pack of 4 which I didn’t initially realize but it’s great because now I can keep them around the house and in my coat and jacket pockets for easy access.

Really has helped my chapped lips. I haven’t had any issues since beginning to use this. It does go on glossy so you can wear it by itself.

This lip product, by far, is the best moisturizer for my lips. My lips are always dry and before my go to was Burt’s bees or Aquaphor. But after those wore off my lips were dried out again. With this product they are improving the moisturize in my lips so when the product comes off my lips they still feel moist.

Great alternative

I bought this for my son, who has extremely dry lips due to medication. Wearing it overnight has helped a lot—his lips are much softer and less cracked by morning.The balm is thick but not sticky, and a little goes a long way. It’s been a real lifesaver for us when regular lip balms just weren’t enough.

The only lip balm I can use since my lips are super sensitive and react with just about anything else. Very hydrating as well!

Love this stuff - it lasts almost the whole day and keeps my lips moisturized. I switched from Aquaphor and find this brand to be better for me. It does look glossier than Aquaphor though, so depending on what you want that can be a pro or a con.
