Works well, pretty easy to install.
Bought this to replace a burnt out motor in my electric insert fireplace. Install is fairly straight forward. The shaft was a little long but I modified it to fit. This motor is louder than the OEM model. The CW/CCW rotation is random so sometimes the flames roll in reverse. This is easily fixed by turning it on and off a couple time.Overall, satisfied with the purchase. Beat spending $300 + dollars on a new unit.

Satisfied. Worked as I wanted.
Very satisfied. Operates a little on the warm side. I couldn't hold on to it, too hot. But other than that it performed wonderfully. Quite and efficient .

electric fireplace replacement motor
Works great as a motor for a simulated flame on my electric fireplace. Perfect fit for original, sometimes runs backwards but on and off a few times and it goes forward. Original motor was adjustable speed DC but froze up and destroyed power supply. Board needs repaired and the motor is $50. This was a low cost fix. Rewired for AC, no speed adjust like the DC motor but the effect is just right.

Decent just watch the load
This motor worked pretty decent for my Halloween application. I had to replace a similar one in one of my props. You just have to watch the load. It really can't lift anything heavy. Not enough torque to complete a full rotation. If its for very light weight applications it should work. For anything over a 1lb or 2, I'd suggest a wiper motor.

Keep the fire burning baby!
A perfect inexpensive fix for our electric fireplace. Easy to install. Before you order ANY motor for your fireplacd, be sure to check the RPMs on the old motor, so your flame doesn't turn too slow or too fast. This one is 15-18 RPMs and that is a perfect speed. As with most, if not all, motors like this, they turn clockwise (cw) or counter clockwise (ccw). That means you might turn it on and your flame is going down instead of up. No problem. Just turn it off and back on a time or two and it will reverse and correct itself.

Died in less than 2 hours.
Tried using this to turn a 4 foot fishing pole section so the epoxy on the thread wrap for the one eyelet on this section wouldn't run. Essentially a very light load on this motor. It died in less that two hours and ruined a $100 fishing rod blank because I didn't have a back up.I won't buy this motor again . . . and never buy just one of any brand.
