This “b” model is not listed on the Schiit site. Is this b-stock or a new version of the 3+?

What does the "b" mean in the product description (magni 3+b). the only place i've seen this is on the amazon web site. is this just a magni 3+ ?

This is the ie version except it the magni 3+ version instead of the iemagni that was heretic based

Whats the best cable to buy to connect this to my audio interface?

I don’t why someone said optical but this is rca coaxial only. If you want optical you need to feed a dac into this and plug the optical into that. The schiit Modi will work perfectly.

Does this change the sound of your headphones at all? I need something that doesn’t alter or color the sound in any way.

Simply put, it amplifies the output to your headphones. They call it driving. So you only need this if it isn't loud enough for you. Personally I like to listen to music at a high volume and it did improve my experience.
