The bop it challenge
This electronic hand held game is fun for both children and adults. As you try to quickly repeat what the bop it tells you to do within a short amount of time, you will find that it begins to become faster. This game provides hours of fun as you try to challenge yourself in getting to the next level. There are three different levels; Novelist, expert, and master providing you with new challenges. This game is much more intense than the Simon because you must respond to the bop it in a much shorter time spand. Another great feature this game provides is that it has an automatic shut off, making it nice so that your batteries won't run down because you cannot accidentally leave it turned on. When you are finished, simply lay it down somewhere and do not touch the buttons. When you here the bop it say "I'm going to sleep", you can rest assure that it is turned off and will be ready to play the next time you want to bop it. I would also like to add that This game is very doable for persons who are blind. I myself have been blind since birth and have absolutely no problem with playing this game as the buttons, twist device and pull mechanism are easily identifyable. I've gotten past the expert level and am in the process of trying to conqur the master level. So, if you want to challenge yourself, pass it around a little group of people, you won't go wrong buying this game; it's very cost friendly.

Fun challenge game for kids and adults
Here's a review from the 11 year old who received this as a gift: Bop it is a fun game for kids and adults to play. You can play it in 3 different modes- solo, pass it, or party. All of the modes you can play with other people. Solo is probably supposed to be for one person, but you could just keep playing it and seeing who can get the highest score. Also in solo you unlock the next levels by getting 100. There are 3 other levels and by pushing the white button with the 3 grey dots you can switch around to play the different levels you have unlocked. After Bop It announces it is going to sleep, to turn it back on you have to pull the blue handle (Pull It). It doesn't come back on when it is like that by just pushing the middle button (Bop It). After you hit Bop It (the middle button) Bop It calls out what you have to do. The green switch is Shout It, which you can leave on or off. When he calls out Shout It, you shout at the green switch. You can control the volume by twisting the yellow thing (twist it). Fun gift and different from the other Bop It versions which are all fun in their own ways.

MAD FUNNNN! ITs a HIT!!
Bought this Bop It for my nieces/ nephews for christmas for when they come to my house. They LOVE IT and would play all modes. Solo ( to see who can make the highest points) Pass it (when playing with more than 1 player) and party ( also more than 1 player also incorporating body parts in game) . We adults love it! Any chance we get we take a whack at it. There are 3 levels ( Novice , expert and master) .In solo mode, the highest points you can make is 100 before u unlock a higher level being Expert and Master Level. 100 points is good bearing in mind the age group its really targeting. My nieces/ nephews range from 4-8, and the highest they ever made was 29 points. We adults are at Expert level and having a blast as the levels each get a bit more challenging. It's a lot of fun for both kids and adults. Not just that, but it encourages u to think quickly, focus, enhance ur listening skills, co-ordination and reflex skills. You have no idea how much fun it is until U TRY IT!!!! Its a perfect gift for kids and that parents can also enjoy alongside as well. I highly rate this BOP IT!

Ridiculously Fun!!
I had the original Bop-It and the Bop-It Extreme when I was a kid, so I wanted to get one for my 8-year-old nephew for Christmas. I found out those versions aren't produced anymore, so I got this one. I was somewhat skeptical because I loved Bop-It so much as a kid, I didn't see any reason for the manufacturers to mess with a good thing. However, as soon as my nephew opened it, the whole family couldn't stop playing. It was just as much fun as the old Bop-Its, with a few different features. We got a kick out of the "Shout It" command because everyone "shouted" differently and it was so funny to hear. When I purchased it, I was a little afraid that my nephew (who is incredibly temperamental) would have a fit if it was too hard for him to keep up with. As it turned out, he absolutely loved it and played with it more than any other gift. He enjoyed playing so much, he didn't even notice that he wasn't quite as proficient as the old-time Boppers in the family. All in all, Bop-It is still an amazingly good time for people of all ages. It's easy to pick up and impossible to put down. Highly recommended to anyone with a soul, because if you don't love Bop-It, YOU DON'T HAVE ONE!!!!!!!

Fun, but not for extended periods of time
My daughter was thrilled to get this game, and seems to enjoy playing with it on her own and with her friends. I find it a little too easy, which discourages my daughter, so I have to pretend to mess up. She enjoys that. After playing starts, though, interest dies out after about 20 minutes. But, I suppose that is a decent timeframe for my daughters age. There are different moves to make and a limited time to do it. The longer you play, the faster it goes. You can play by yourself, or with a group. In the group setting, each time someone makes a mistake, they are out. But the pace of the game doesn't reset. It continues quickening until the last person, which keeps you on your toes. Hand and reflex coordination is worked with this toy. For the great price on Amazon, it is a good buy. But it may take many more years before both my young daughters can actually enjoy a competitive game with mom.

Fun! Fun! Fun!
I purchased the Bob It! for my 10 year old niece last Christmas and she loved it! She did, however, put this item on her 'Wish List'. After opening all the presents, she, her mom and dad, her grandma and I all played it and it was great fun. I have always been a fan of the Bop It! line of toys. If you're looking for a fun and simple toy, this is it! As an educational toy, it does lack in some areas, although I would say it teaches turn-taking (sharing and patience), listening to directions (focus and concentration) and fast-fingered technique (reflexes). All in all, a great buy at a great price.

A toy that should be in everyone's toybox!
My 7 1/2 year old son wanted this for Christmas. It was under $20 which I found reasonable. We rented the WII Family Night and it had "Bop It" on it and that was awful. The remote was hard to use while playing this on the WII so I was a little worried about buying Bop It because I thought it was going to be a disappointment on Christmas morning. It was so much fun. My 14 year old niece came over on Christmas and she wants one now. If you're children are competitive, it's worth it. You're always trying to beat the other persons score. This is how the game is played....There's three different things to push. One is the "bop it" button (this also starts the game), one is "twist it" (you have to twist the yellow knob on the end), on the other end is the "pull it" knob which is blue and on the opposite side of the "twist it". To start the game you have to press "bop it" and the game begins. From there you have to listen to what it says and see how far you can go. Example: Bop it, twist it, pull it, twist it, pull it, bop it...it will stop once you get it wrong and keeps your score. Once you're good you can add on the "shout" which is an added option to choose from. You can also play solo, party or novice. Totally am going to purchase it for the next few birthdays coming up.
