Does its job and does it well
I bought this to be a lightweight and small hiking pole, and occasionally to use it to help hold up a tarp shelter or similar. My biggest concern with how lightweight and small/collapsible this one is, was that it would be flimsy or cheap. That has not turned out to be the case. It works great, and although I haven't put it through any particularly rough use yet, it seems rock solid when set up, and I haven't had a single issue.Pros: Lightweight. Comes with two rubber shoes to put on the tip in case one wears out. Can be spiked into the ground if you take off the rubber shoe. Wrist strap is comfortable. Collapses really quite small. Comes with a nice carry bag. Handle is comfortable. Height is adjustable. I'm 6'0" and the max setting is about right. If you're taller, you may want to look into a longer pole.Cons: It took me a few minutes to figure out how to set it up because the instructions aren't exceptionally clear. But it's not difficult, just not really intuitive. Once you figure it out the first time it's no problem from that point forwards. It's also a little difficult to fit into the carry bag when collapsed if you leave the mud basket on the bottom. I didn't want to take that off every single time (particularly if it's covered in mud). But I can get it into the bag, just not as easily as without.Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and considering buying a second one.

It’s a Trekking Pole!
I’m no trekking pole expert but I can tell you what I think of it.It’s really easy to use, I mean, it’s a stick but it’s pretty easy to figure out right out of the box. I didn’t have to read those pesky instructions! Pull it, twist it to the locked picture and it’s set up. Twist on the guard and pop on the cap, unclip to adjust the height and then clip it, then pull the wrist to adjust and it’s set up.I got it for all four seasons, hiking for three and trying not to be an accidental speed skater during winter. It’s a lot stronger than I thought a 3-sectional would be so I’m pretty happy about it. The handle feels a little weird but after using it a couple times I’ve gotten used to it.I wish the cap was a twist on since I walk in mud and snow, I worry I may return without it someday and I also wish the bag came with a little clip or strap so I could hang it on my belt or pack, but those are minor.I wish I bought a pair...

Great Lightweight and Easy to Use Trakking Pole
I'm very happy and impressed with this pole, and the completeness of the package. I would buy again! Here is what is included:- The Pole itself- Box and well written manual- 2x Normal rubber trekking tips- 1x Snow adapter- A nice nylon/mesh bagThis pole has a removable trekking tip and underneath is a carbide tip for trekking in slippery conditions like snow and ice. I really like the case that it came with for slipping inside a pack rather than externally. This way it won't snag on anything. On my scale it rang in at 5.3oz or 150g.Setup is extremely easy with 2x points that go in and out, and a simple whiteline / arrow that you line up to a lock/unlock icon and pull/twist to get it to lock or unlock. In my testing it was not possible to get it to unlock accidentally, which is what you want! The max height is 135cm or 53in and that was more than enough for me at 6'4. I was comfortable at 125cm actually. The grip as well as the lashing strap were both very comfortable to grip as well as around my hand.Again, very impressed with this setup and highly recommend!

You are better off finding a stick at the start of your hike!
First, there is only one in the package. Went back and looked at the post and of course they got me with the fine print... Though, I don't think that is how business should be conducted.Second, the poll is so badly constructed that the it doesn't fit together snuggly. I put my single pole away and used a stick for my hike. You are better off finding a stick at the start of your hike!

Good idea, bad execution
Reading other reviews, I gather there may be some irregular quality control here. Perhaps that explains the pole I bought. Or not. After ignoring the confusing directions, I figured out how to put the pole together; but extending the third piece (with the handle) past the top of the arrow while gripping it top and bottom and pulling until the locking button pops out takes a massive effort. If I take this hiking, I'll still be wrestling the pole together while the rest of my group is half a mile ahead. To add some perspective: I am 5'4" tall and fit enough to heave around 50 lb. feed bags and carry my 60 lb. dog. Meaning I'm surely strong enough to put some muscle into the required pulling. But I had to get my 6'2" son to do it.

Go Take A Hike With The Sahara Sailor Trekking Pole
The media could not be loaded. Good: The pole folds up and has its own carrying case.Good: The pole has a wrist strap that makes easy to carry without fear of losing the poles.Good: The poles have adjustable height so everyone can make this pole comfortable and work for them.Bad: The locking lever feels really cheap and I think it's only a matter of time before it breaks.Bad: I've never owned trekking poles before and I thought putting them together would be easier but it was not as intuitive as I thought and I actually had to look at the instructions. The Sahara sailor trekking Pole is lightweight and compact when folded. It's very easy to put this in your backpack and carry with you in case you decide you want to go for a hike. It's more lighter and more convenient then a traditional hiking stick.
