Over the last 10 years I’ve switched ALL of my lip balms to Burt’s Bee’s, and there’s a definite reason why I have; THEY NEVER DISAPPOINT!! The Vanilla Bean shown here has a subtle nice smell, glides smoothly on my lips, and is perfect under lipstick or lip tints. (I have never met a matte lipstick I’ve liked, sorry)! It’s gotta be moisture for this mature gal with grey hair popping in as high lights these days. I have several different Burt’s balms across my house, in my car, my bag, pockets or yoga waistbands I’m wearing, depending on what I’m doing and if I have pockets or not. It’s a never leave home without product. You get the idea! TIP: I always have 1, 2, or 3 different types of Burt’s in my car at ALL TIMES, depending on sunscreen needs and how parched my lips are, and how I DON’T want them to be parched or burnt! Burt’s always saves me! To make sure it doesn’t melt I keep it in a dark compartment near an AC vent in my car, top w/lid facing up, balm rolled down, to avoid melting. I’VE NEVER MELTED ONE, but yes they do soften. If my lips are miserable, I’M MISERABLE, and I’m always carrying some type of lipstick depending where I’m going, for what and how long. I’ve lived in the Midwest all my life, where summers have been brutally hot and humid, for long stretches, and winters have been the exact opposite; with frigid sub zero temps plus the windchills! There’s a Burt’s Bee’s product for every type of need, skin irritation, and for your own personal preferences. I still try out the new ones, and my personal preferences are always kept well stocked! Just two of my personal go to’s are the Vanilla Bean (goes with everything), the Ultra Conditioning is my ABSOLUTE HOLY GRAIL! Nothing is smoother and silkier than how it glides on especially at bedtime all year long. Burt’s are perfect under most lipsticks I own, but wait a short while to apply lipstick perfectly!

I use lip balm year-round, from extremely cold winters to extremely hot summers. I've always used the other famous brand (Chapstick) just because it's all I've ever known from when I was a young girl and saw the Susy Chapstick commercials. However, I am SO glad I finally took the plunge and tried Burt's Bees lip balm! It goes on extremely smooth, it's long-lasting, and there isn't a funny, waxy taste. Not only does it moisturize very well, but it also soothes, heals, and protects my lips much better than Chapstick ever did. It has quite the nourishing factor! I keep one at my desk, one in my purse, one on my nightstand, one in the bathroom, and also kept one in my coat pocket all winter long. No matter where I am, Burt's Bees lip balm is at the ready! I strongly recommend this product!

This is genuinely the best, most hydrating lip balm I’ve come across, and I’ve used plenty from various brands, as well as others from Burt’s. I initially purchased a bulk pack of the original Burt’s Bees lip balm, which came with two ultra-conditioning balms as a bonus. I decided to give one a try and haven’t used another lip balm since. The first thing I really love is the texture, it’s not waxy like the original. The formula is so smooth and it smells like lemon which I love. The ingredients were what impressed me the most, this stuff is loaded with wonderful butters and oils that give my lips everything they need to look and feel hydrated. The brand says “It’s intense hydration, for when you want to deep condition your lips without the waxy feel” and I think that hits the nail on the head of exactly what this lip balm is. I’ll never be without it and it’s going in everyone’s stocking every year lol. I’d also like to add that I recently repaired my lips from years of damage (shown in the review photo) caused mainly by licking my lips. While I use other products in my lip care routine to serve other purposes like exfoliation and protection, this lip balm is what I use daily for hydration and is the only product on my lips in my “after” photo. This balm has helped me to stop a bad habit that was causing damage and insecurity for years. Now my lips are healthy and moisturized. Thank you Burt’s Bees!!

This is my favorite Lip Balm because it has no flavor or scent just Shea butter and truly is ultra moisturizing! This product actually makes your lips feel young and new and pretty. It lasts longer than some of the other brands of lip balms on the market. It is a great value when you purchase it in these multi-packs. Would highly recommend this product to anyone shopping for the perfect lip balm.

I've tried an immeasurable number of chapsticks, lip balms, lip oils, etc. This specific type of chapstick by Burt's Bees is definitely the best one. It's the most moisturizing, unscented, long-lasting, and all around my favorite. Even if it were more expensive than other name brand, main options for chapstick, it'd be worth it. But better yet, it's like the same price as everything else you can get at a drugstore. Nothing compares.

They are the best lip balm for winter time, and also if you live in dry/desert climate like NM. I highly recommend, these are the only ones that didn’t let my lips cracked. Unfortunately now Amazon is the only place I can find the medicated version.

The silver cat birds bees are the best ones. They don’t leave a waxy texture. It’s more of like a creamy texture and they protect your lips, making them soft, especially in the winter months when everything is dry and you’re usually parched.

Looks great but more like a gloss. Moisturizer is iffy but better than a regular gloss.

My favourite lip balm. Got quite delicate lips that split easily-this is the softest on the market-that I’ve found anyway! Has to be one with grey top.
