I bought silk because, I’m making a nice purse. I’m using the silk as a liner. The silk is a deep black and of good quality. The fabrics is very soft and smooth. It’s a great buy for the money. I highly recommend this fabric.

First things first, it's real silk. I was able to perform the burn test, and it behaved like real silk. I sew for work and am familiar with sewing with silk, but this particular silk is rather loosely woven, so it frays a fair amount more than what I normally sew with. Even so, I was able to make what I intended with it (I recommend using French seams if you can).

While it is a nice quality polyester, it does not have the weight and breathability of silk. I should have known better to try to buy silk fibers from Amazon. Ive done it before with other products and every time, its satin polyester. I want to return but I need it to make something smh.
