Diving Equipment: Choice, maintenance and function Paperback – Illustrated, June 22, 2016

I absolutely love this book. I bought it primarily for the maintenance aspect, which is admittedly probably the most underwhelming aspect of the whole book. Don't get me wrong, the maintenance information is still solid info, but overall I feel there isn't any information there your average diver wouldn't already know or be able to easily find elsewhere. (Not including it would have been a huge oversight by the author though, so Kudos there!) I was; however, BEYOND impressed by the written and illustrated breakdowns of the detailed mechanical workings of EVERY piece of diving equipment listed, which is pretty much all-encompassing. Better understanding the inner-workings of my equipment is not only intriguing in & of itself, but I think it leads to better understanding maintenance priorities and best practices as well. This book is an intriguing read and fantastic tool. I thought it would live on a bookshelf most of it's life, but it has been accompanying me on several dives as well because it is a fantastic tool. Did you or a buddy end up renting an odd sized tank? No problem, just consult the detailed chart covering specific dive cylinders and their respective weights, capacity, and buoyancy characteristics to adjust your lead accordingly. Completely nixxes guess work. Love it. Will recommend and gift to mindful dive buddies. Thank you for the wonderful resource, Jonas. Keep up the good work!
