I've not had a drone before but in all the drone hype thought it might be fun to see what they were all about. This is a great little starter drone for the inexperienced. It comes ready to fly out of the package. Little set up by downloading the app and watching a preflight video. But I was up and flying in about 3 minutes. Camera works well. Drone package includes extra prop blades, 2 batteries, and charging cords. All you need to get started. I did have one issue with the controller, where it seemed to not charge fully. While the drone battery will last for 20 minutes of flight time... the controller battery only lasted about 5 minutes. I contacted Ruko via email and they were prompt to reply and worked with care to solve the problem. Great support service... which would get them 5 stars. EDIT - Unfortunately... the replacement remote sent has the exact same issue. After several attempts to change and fly... the longest flight time on the remote was 7 minutes. Don't know if it's a defective batch... or if it's just junk... but it is very disappointing to only have 5 minutes or so of flight time to actually use the drone. And I was told that there is no way to change out the battery in the remote... so there is a limited lifespan on the remote right out of the gate. Too bad for me the return window has not closed or I would be returning this product. Which I should have done the minute this issue arose. You'll get good customer service... but it doesn't help if the problem is the product. Drone... good. Drone battery... seems good. Kit components... good. Remote... 2 thumbs down. I can't recommend. Edit follow up - Outstanding customer service! They provided a replacement product without hesitation. The replacement is working as it should. Not sure what the issue was with the previous but they absolutely stand by the product. Back to 5 stars!

Overall: The Ruko U11S is a solid choice that outperforms others in its price range. As someone new to drones, I spent a lot of time researching before deciding on the U11S. I looked at several top-rated brands, including Holy Stone, but at the price point, Ruko offered more of the features I wanted. The U11S is stable, intuitive, and packed with helpful functions such as Remote ID, Follow Me, and Return-to-Home (RTH). Highly recommend! Additional Insight: Equally impressive is Ruko’s outstanding customer service. After purchasing, I reached out a few times with questions/concerns, all due to my beginner learning curve, and each time, they responded quickly and went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied. When I posted a review mentioning frustration with the controller’s charge life, Ruko immediately contacted me, offered a replacement, and followed up until the new unit arrived. Whether choosing the U11S or another Ruko drone, this company stands behind their products. Great features, good price and exceptional customer support is what sets Ruko apart!

Our 13-year-old son had been asking for a drone for quite some time, so we decided to get him one for Christmas. After doing some research, we settled on the Ruko U11S, and overall it has been a great choice. Right out of the box, the drone was easy to set up and get flying. As parents, we really appreciated how beginner-friendly it is. The controls are intuitive, and the safety features made us feel more comfortable letting him fly it on his own after a little practice. Our son picked it up quickly and was confidently flying it within a short time. The build quality feels solid for the price and handled a few beginner bumps and landings well. The camera truly impressed us — it takes amazing pictures, and we are very happy with the picture quality. It has been a lot of fun for him to capture photos and videos, which adds to the overall experience. After flying it for a couple of weeks, one of the motors did lock up. We contacted customer service, and they have been excellent. They responded quickly and are already sending us a replacement drone. The customer service experience has been very reassuring, and we truly appreciate how smoothly they handled the issue. We’re hopeful the replacement will fly for a long time. Despite the hiccup, our son absolutely loves this drone and uses it every chance he gets. Overall, we’re very happy with the Ruko U11S and would still recommend it for kids, teens, or anyone looking for a beginner-friendly drone backed by great customer service.

It came packaged in a box with a nice design. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the case was pretty robust. It is heather gray with a sturdy built in handle and case structure that feels like it can adequately protect the drone inside. The zipper is smooth and operates well with no issues. The contents of the case included the drone, extra propellers, remote, phone holder attachment (for remote), 2 batteries, and usb cords for everything. I really liked that it had more than 1 usb cord so I can charge everything at once. The case has a zippered pocket so it makes it easy to keep the cords, propellers, and instructions all in the same case without falling out every time you open the case. At first when I tried installing the battery, I did not feel it “click” into place. It felt wobbly and wouldn’t sit right, and pop out pretty easily. I didn’t realize that there was a thin piece of foam padding in the battery slot which prevented the battery from clicking in place all the way. Once I removed that, everything was good, and it fit fine. Maybe in the future a little sticker or tag that identifies there is a piece of foam there would be helpful. The batteries had a good run time, the times that I flew the drone I did not deplete the batteries. The batteries were able to last longer than I wanted to fly, so that was great. I like that the batteries have a built in meter to determine how much power is left in them. The remote is a good size, fits well in my hands, has plenty of features and the phone attachment arm fit my phone with case great. I have an iPhone 8 Plus with a Magpul case on it. It felt balanced and natural to hold. My favorite features of the remote are the ability to take photos and videos with the push of a button! It allows me to focus on flying but take the photo or video that I want. My next favorite feature is the ability to rotate the gimbal/camera while flying. You are able to adjust the camera up or down, which is great for trying to capture photos or videos from different heights. I wish that the drone had another feature to adjust the camera side to side or keep the horizon stable because if you are taking video, and have to move the drone left or right, the whole camera moves with the drone body as it tilts, and disrupts the steadiness of the frame/video. The follow me mode and encircle mode worked well when I used it. But I made sure I was in an open area with plenty of room. I did not try those features around obstacles like trees or light poles. I wish the range was a little better. I feel that it went out about 100 or 150 feet in an open area before beeping that it was going out of range. I feel like I could have flown it further and higher while still maintaining control and my line of sight. Downloading the app was super quick and easy. The part that I found most difficult about flying the drone was the set up of the app, remote, and drone. I feel like I kept forgetting the process of how to turn on the drone, remote, and app together to get ready for flying. Unfolding the drone was straightforward and simple. But I kept forgetting in which order to turn everything on in. So I kept the quick start guide with me and had to refer to that every time I was going to fly. I guess what I am trying to say is that the start up process is not as intuitive as I hoped for it to have been. I think what would be really cool is if the app prompted you to do the process in order. So let’s say you open app, it would prompt you to turn on the remote, then you click next when that is done, then turn on the drone, click next when that is done, then connect to wifi, click next, then do the calibrations, then the action to turn on the propellers, then have fun and fly! I wish there was also a way to not have to calibrate the drone every single time. I understand this might be needed to be the most accurate, but sometimes the process was quick and easy, and other times it took much longer and I had to restart the app a few times because I felt like it wasn’t working. I also didn’t get the GPS accuracy mode to work, I allowed it to run multiple times, but ended up skipping to get to flying because it was taking too long, even though I was in an open area with a clear view to the sky. I like how the app also has some of the controls as the remote, I feel like I have the options to use the app or the remote to do what I want with the drone. The drone itself seems well built and sturdy for what it is, and I like that it has the built in warning lights. The land and take off mode worked great every time I used it. I did fly the drone in windy conditions at times, it didn’t seem to drift too much, but was a little harder to control, as expected giving the weather conditions. The only issue when flying with a breeze, is that it at times, the drone would lose altitude when trying to climb in altitude and turn or move. Maybe it was due to needed more power while flying in those kind of conditions? Overall I am happy, it is fun to fly and cool to take some aerial photos and videos. The resolution is pretty good. It is what I would expect from something moving in the sky that isn’t super top of the line. I will continue to play around with it and get better at using it.

This drone was just too flawed to be useful. The batteries only lasted between 4 and 6 minutes of flight time, but even worse the readout was completely inconsistent. On 2 occasions I launched with 100% battery and within 90 seconds went to 7% (triggering all the alarms for immediate return/landing). What a shame, I expected better from this brand... The pictures and flight were as expected, but the battery and connection issues made it unusable. Support started ok, but once they showed their motivations, I had one of the more unpleasant experiences possible. Avoid not just this product, but this company.

Drone ok for children

The drone came in on time and it was packaged well. Everything was also neatly packed into a storage bag it came with which was really awesome. It also came with two batteries and a variety of charging cords for different charging options which is very useful. I have a few drones I use at work. I wanted a quality drone that didn’t break the bank I could use at my property. The appearance of this drone is very nice and it has a wide age range because of ease of use. The controls are easy to use because the controller comes with a cheat sheet that you can remove once you get used to the directions. Once it was charged, connecting it was pretty easy and this drone was in the air. Performance was great and connectivity was spot on. After just a little bit, connectivity between the drone and controller was spotty. After reconnecting a few times and recalibrating, the drone took a hard crash. The drone was fine and didn’t fall apart. The battery fell out but went right back in. The seller reached out to me just to make sure all was well. I explained what was happening and they were awesome! The seller is 100% committed to customer satisfaction! They went out of their way and bent over backwards to make sure I was happy. These folks are fantastic! This drone really is a great product. It works like a champ once the kinks were addressed and this drone is tough! It is robust! I highly recommend this product and only this seller! 100% happy!

Easy to fly drone, the video quality is pretty clear for a beginner drone. The quality of the drone is just as great as other high-end drones. The drone itself comes in an easy-carry hard case also. The only thing not included is an external SD card (which is fine because you can record/snapshot directly to your phone. The speed goes about 12.5mph which is pretty quick for a starter. Customer service is fast and typically gets back to you within a few hours same day (which is awesome) and will help guide you through troubleshooting or any questions/issues encountered. Overall well worth the price!

I bought this for my partner who always wanted a drone. It is an excellent starting drone. While the controls were a little confusing at first, it is now quite easy to fly. Being a cheaper model, it doesn't do well in slight winds or have a particular long battery life but an excellent buy nontheless.

Do not buy this lousy Ruko drone. do not worth a single cents... Cannot fly steady, always crash itself to something. the recorded video worst... I really do not know why it cost so much.. Don't buy.. you will regret..
