Its a sponge
The sponge is fine, getting it in a bag I could literally put my head inside is wasteful and excessive. The sponge is so small in the package it seemed like they had sent me an empty bag

Go on ahead and get you one... these half inch thick, bean shaped blue sponges are awesome for working with your hands or on the wheel. Fits perfectly into your hand, Super absorbent, soft, yet very tough and durable. They'll absolutely last for years if you take care of them. Well worth the price!

Blue water daily, for how long?
The amount of blue dye that leaves the sponge each time I use it is concerning to me. I'm sure it burns out, but I stopped using with light clay bodies because it turned the clay quite blue.

Awesome sponge
Fantastic. Definitely more useful than the cheap small round sponges. Supple, just the right amount of flexibility and easy to use!
