Perfect Auto Feeder
We have several, they work so great. Easy mechanism that doesnt overly complicate things. It just spins around and deposits food through gravity. No real way for it to get jammed. Theres an easy to use timer, and its fairly simple to refill. Its a bit awkward for rimmed tanks with lids but its doable!

Nice vacation feeder.
Perfect for vacation feeding. I recommend to test it out first with a small gap opening so that you don't end up over feeding them. I set mine at every 24 hours to feed while I was away.

Dispensing lid sticks shut due to water splashing and food sticks.
I have had mine for a year. Works great with flakes. In the last couple months I have been experiencing the tiny lid not open. When it spins around and sometimes will dispense, I noticed the large cover sliding open. I wipe the water off, remove wet food. For now? I have taped the large lid so it won’t move. I used the double sided tape due to no room per opening of my fish tank lid. Now my problem? A) keep the tape on the cover? B) Try to figure how to remove it from the lid?! Without breaking my top cover! C) Buy a new one and have same issue? D) call customer support and get a new container?

Worth it
So worth the purchase! I was gone for 5 days and came home with all my fishies happy. 150 gallon tank, 8 full size fancy goldfish...bought 2 feeders and had them dispense at alternating times because I wasn't sure how long the food would last, but after 5 days there was still plenty left. Very pleased with the purchase. Easy to set up and you can adjust how much is dispensed at a time (make sure you test it and it is dispensing how much you want to feed).

Good but over feeds
This Product works and can feed your fish while you are away. BUT THE AMOUNT OF FOOD! It’s unbelievable. It put enough food for my fish that I give them in a few days. I even adjusted the amount and it still gave to much.

Convenient
Bought this when I went out of state for a week. I tested out the amount of food being dropped by adjusting the trap door, and then set it in a 2; hour timer. My fish were happy and full while I was states away

Works well with pellet feeds.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Works well. Was gone for 2 weeks on vacation. Kept my shrimps and fish every 3 days.

So far, can dispense pellets of different sizes
This replaces a much older Eheim automatic feeder that stopped working when insects climbed in and gummed up the inner workings to destroy the fan and tumbler.Feeder holds a LOT of food! I am using it for a 75 gallon tank of mostly goldfish, 3 of which are 2.5” long while the 5 others are between 8” and 11”, plus 4 Corydoras catfish and a Plecostomus. I needed to enlarge the portal for the food drop, by trimming the plastic strip that fits on the glass lid. I chose the battery powered version rather than rechargeable or plug in versions. The sliding adjuster for the opening that dispenses the food, is a bit stiff. When refilled, you must try several food drops away from your tank, preferably on a piece of paper, so you can see just how much food is dispensed in a drop! Don’t just refill and reattach to your tank, or you could have an overfeeding or underfeeding catastrophe in the making.I use the 1 feeding/24 hours cycle in my tank. When I refill the food container, I carefully determine how wide the opening slide needs to be for dispensing the proper amount of food based on pellet size, and test it manually several times. This means putting the test food back in to either the original container, or use the paper to put all of it back through the slot (I haven’t been successful at removing the whole slot portal yet, so this takes time). The 24 hour timer seems to reset itself if you use the manual setting to figure out how much food is dispensed, so my workaround is to take out 1 battery, the replace it - and the next day at the desired feeding time, restart the 24 hour timer. A little cumbersome, but it works for me.My Plecostomus gets fed wafers separately; they wouldn’t fit in this feeder. I can’t imagine using flakes or crisps, based on the feeding portal size. To date, I have not had the hole cover get gummed up by food sticking to it, as reported by other users. I also haven’t used it long enough to know how long the batteries last.
