I would say say that would depend on the thread you use. Research what's a good thread to use On that. It won't be this tool that makes you a strong seam it will be the thread.

yes , you must remove the seat cover.stitch the seam then reinstall the cover

Hello, the stitch awl is designed to drag the thread through while creating a hole, however pre-punching your holes would still help make this task easier.
