Installed in a BW 40 gallon short. For perfect and works great. We will see how long they last. These were purchased because of the hard water at the home. Well water is tuff on standard elements.

Works, but one of the screws was having trouble threading back in and I had to force it.

Great product. All stainless steel including nut. It has held up for 4 weeks of hard use in problematic water. It has almost no accumulation on it. I will be buying again for a spare and other projects. Pictures are of the element after use. Last picture is of a non-stainless element after 1 week of use vs this one.

We have hard water here in CNY. However, this element only lasted two months. It's resistance is near infinite now and should be about 18ohms. I've had the inexpensive, box store, high watt density heater elements last 6 or more times longer. Draining the tank from the basement a second time after only two months isn't appreciated.

mine has lots of lime this been working two months no trouble

This is a perfectly acceptable unit but ended up returning because I found similar unit at much lower watt density (which is of primary importance to me) and 20% lower price.
