Works for me with no problem. Well satisfied so far
I was always skeptical about a electric chainsaw. My father who is 75 years old wanted one and he picked out this song because of his light weight so he can handle it we use he is to cut up part of a Oaktree and it seemed to do a good job. I had another big tree to take down so I bought me one so I will not have to borrow his. I cut everything but the main trunk piece. 18inches in diameter with no problem. It came with an Oregon chainsaw blade and with the quality of the saw blade there was no problem. so far I am very pleased. Luckily the trees were close to my house and the drop cord issue worked out. I am a person in the construction industry and if I have to use a piece of equipment that is consistently needs power after go to equipment with a drop cord. batteries are awesome But they do wear out and over a period of time they are obsolete. If this is something you would use for trimming around the house Or have access to a generator. So far I would not have second thoughts about buying one. It uses quite a bit of oil for the bar I see were some people complain about using too much oil. It’s seem to me to be what it needed to complete the job with the ratio of the oil. And used almost 3/4 of a gallon that’s not unusual for any chainsaw. If you buy one go get a gallon of bar oil. Not a quart!

Beat Electric Chainsaw for Light to Moderate Use
I got this chainsaw to cut wood for the BBQ pit and Firepit. I wasn't building a log cabin so I didn't want a big gas unit to fuss with. This chainsaw is perfect. It arrived on time and was packaged well. It was pretty much ready to go out of the box. I filled the chain oiler with bar oil and checked the tension of the chain. Plugged it in, and cut enough wood for the BBQ Pit and Firepit for the entire summer in two hours. It performed flawlessly. Cleaned it up and stored it away. Perfect for my use and the price was GREAT.

I'm impressed
I had four trees to cut down, 8 inch caliper and less.I had an old electric chain saw that was not up to the job, I knew.So I got this, a larger version of the same model. It made me a lumberjack! The wife and I thinned out big branches then cut down the trees in one afternoon. (I ran the saw, she used loppers -- her choice).Three biggest plusses: cuts really well for this application, automatic oiler, no fiddling with cranking. Dealing with electric cord vs. gas is a wash, IMO.It is pretty easy to handle but you do need to be careful.

Excellent chainsaw. Exceeds expectations. Easy starting! : )
My previous experience with electric chainsaws was not good. As in motor could barely power through anything larger than 4" without bogging down. I haven't gone crazy with this, but it handles 14" diameter trees with no problem with the full diameter being cut at once (don't have to "see-saw" the bar to make the cut).I bought it so my other half doesn't have to use the gas powered saw when I'm gone (trouble starting it). So far, so good.

Nice saw
I live in a small city in Michigan's "thumb". I have quite a few trees on my lot and they were in bad need of trimming. I used a pruning saw to trim them then had know way to cut up the limbs I'd trimmed so they were small enough for DPW to chip them. For the price of renting a chipper for an hour I bought this chainsaw. I was (at first) a little skeptical because it is electric but this thing works really well. I wouldn't use it to cut limbs out of a tree because of the cord but it cuts anything already down like butter. One of the limbs I had to cut up was about 8 1/2" - no problem. I also like it being electric because I need a chainsaw about once a year. I don't have to worry about gas sitting over the winter or even if I have any... just plug it in and go.

Short lifespan
It is great for light work, but mine died pretty quick. I got through about 1/4 acre before it died. The motor would spin, but the blade wouldn't. Died on about an 8" diameter pine. I assume it would last a while if only used for cutting thinner trees.

Powerful and fun to use.
Very happy with this electric chain saw. I used on 4"-6" diameter limbs and 18" - 20" diameter tree trunks. Cuts 'em like a hot knife through butter. These are cherry, black walnut, red-bud, pine, and maple trees. I am very happy with this chainsaw.

Cuts small limbs like butter.
Surprises at the power. Cuts small limbs like butter. However , now that I have had it two years , a few flaws have showed up. This thing pours oil throughit , running or not. I have to store it over a box of sand to keep oil off the floor. I removed the gear and looked inside at the oil hoses. They look ok , but oil is leaking somewhere. I need an adjustment valve to regulate the oil!! Just finished my "Crepe Murder" for the year. Easy job with this saw , but my coveralls are soaked with oil.
