I got this back in October 2021 and it has been a very useful system. I’ve grown chives, oregano, thyme, basil, sage, rosemary and parsley (the parsley is a savage to remove to repot, if you eventually want to move it, do it early on, I waited till last weekend and had to destroy most of the root system…).I replanted all plants into a large pot and they all, even the poor parsley, are now growing happily in dirt.I’m now having a go at growing lettuce, bok choy and spinach, only planted seeds 4 days ago and already have germination. (Don’t forget, planting lettuce, need to cover them for 3 days (they need darkness).The pump works great and the timer for the lights is pretty accurate, so all up it is a great system.The system was so easy to clean too.One thing we had to do for our system was create a “fence” out of an old window screen so our lovely cat could not get anywhere near the plants… you can see the screen in the first photo.Second photo shows the plants 2 days after transplant.One more thing and I’ll stop babbling on. I grew a strawberry plant using the system, but found it needed a warmer environment(70 +F), so it’s in dirt now, here’s hoping.

I bought this kit as a Christmas gift for my wife. It was easy to assemble. It just needs seeds and water. The photo is from 21 days of growth. I have enjoyed watching my plants grow from seed. I have never had this kind of success with gardening. I liked it so much that I recently got a second kit for work and have started to grow flowers. I work in a place where there are few windows and the light alone has been therapeutic. I highly recommend this product for people who lack gardening space, or have poor gardening skills. Another use be as a nursery before replanting.

I purchased the Omote Hydroponic System with high hopes, expecting an easy and efficient way to grow my plants indoors. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of frustrating.The initial setup was quite straightforward, and I was excited to start using the system. For the first couple of months, everything seemed to be going well. My plants were thriving, and I was genuinely impressed with the performance of the Omote Hydroponic System.However, after just two short months, the system suddenly stopped working. It would not turn on at all, despite all my efforts to troubleshoot the issue. I tried everything I could think of to fix it, from checking the power supply to consulting the user manual, but nothing worked. The Omote Hydroponic System simply wouldn't turn on.This experience has left me incredibly disappointed and frustrated. I invested a significant amount of money into this system, expecting a reliable and long-lasting product. Instead, I am now left with a dead hydroponic system and plants that are suffering as a result.Customer service has not been helpful either. I contacted the manufacturer to report the issue, but they have not provided any useful assistance or offered to replace the faulty unit.I cannot, in good conscience, recommend the Omote Hydroponic System to anyone. It simply isn't worth the investment if it is only going to break down after a couple of months. Save your money and invest in a more reliable and durable hydroponic system. This one just doesn't cut it

I have the name brand one and this one. The name brand one works ok for a bit. The only thing that it grew well was lettuce. I have herbs in it now and they're not doing that great. This product is wonderful. It comes with so many things, except seeds. (Name brand seeds come with it, refills areega expensive, and it's 50/50 if anything grows.) My plants are flourishing. Within a few weeks they're going nuts. I love that this comes with name tags and sticks to prop the plants up. Would 1000% recommend this garden! Easy set up, easy maintenance! The different light functions are great.

The instructions for set up are not completely accurate but once we tried a few different set up ideas it works fine.The instructions say the unit will beep when you plug it in but it did not. If you ignore that and hit the light buttons on the lid it will work.

The system was very easy to assemble and i made sure to pay attention to the instructions and read through them thoroughly beforehand but when I went to finally plug it in….nothing. I’ve tried multiple outlets around my house and the system has not powered up once. Is there anything that can be done about this? 4-15-23 Update: where the light connects to the base and the light was loose and that’s on me. The light does flicker just when I walk close but other than that it works great now that I’ve gotten past the power issue.

Easy to set up and to use. I have purchased more pods and water additives because I used all that came with the kit. It's been great! Last night I turned it off and it wouldn't turn back on this morning....so disappointing. It last 1 year, almost to the day.

Amazing project for children to learn about hydroponic farming. Assembly is really easy for them to follow. With minimal supervision even a 5 yr. old should be able to do it. All parts are basic matching of arrow signs and foolproof slotted fit. If they don't fit easily. All you do is reverse it. It's a well thought of design. 3 tier center post extends to around 18 inches clear so you can let the plants grow that tall. Lighting system with multi spectrum wavelengths is easy to control from the top. Everything including 2 parts fertilizer are included in the box. All you need is the seeds. We are planning to start with Romaine lettuce that grow easy so the kids don'tget bored waiting. They are excited to see the results.
