It worked very well for me.
I don't expect these products will work for everyone, but after a several weeks I can say this one works for me. I'm 46 years old, no underlying health issues and I sleep on my back (even if I try to sleep on my side I always roll to my back). Over the last couple of years I transitioned from occasional snoring to chronic snoring/apnea. I would wake up tired and often with a headache. Enough coverage in the press about the long term risks of apnea motivated me to try something. Basically this product holds my mouth shut while I sleep, forcing me to breathe through my nose. My soft palate doesn't collapse and I don't snore. My sleep has improved greatly. I sleep more deeply and wake up less frequently during the night. I wake my wife less so she's happy, too. It's a little odd-feeling when you first try to sleep with this device on your head but I got used to it within a week. Also, it took a few nights to get the adjustments comfortable and effective--not too loose, not too tight. It is reasonably well made but even if it fell apart in 6 months I'd buy another one.

Works pretty well, but it's quite a bit larger than the regular size. Could use another size in between the two.
My head is narrow, but long, so the regular size was too tight. The XL size works pretty well for me, however it is quite a bit larger than the regular one. The straps stretch out over time, so hopefully this one will not become too big to work well in the future. They could really use a size in between these two.Overall, the design of the strap works pretty well. It's not perfect, but it's certainly better than nothing. Previously, I had one that was just a single strap that went underneath my chin and up over my head; there was nothing that went around the back. That strap didn't work very well at all; this one is much better. The trade off is that the strap around the back draws your jaw back a bit and can cause some discomfort until you get used to it. You can fasten the strap looser in the back of your head, but then it won't hold your mouth shut as well.As I said, it's not perfect, but it gets the job done pretty well. In my opinion, if you're not satisfied with your current situation, this is certainly worth a try for the price.

This is the perfect strap to help keep your mouth closed while sleeping
This is the perfect strap to help keep your mouth closed while sleeping! Be sure and measure your head before ordering. I have had several of these sent to me by my CPAP supplier. They never told me that these came in different sizes even though adjustable. They just sent me whatever they stocked. Since they no longer carry these and no other chin strap really works for me, I started shopping for one on my own and found this one. It's the same style and brand as the ones I've always used but here, they offer different sizes. I read one of the reviews left here that said to measure my head from the center of my chin, to the the center of my crown to find my size, so I did that and I am SO glad that I did. It seems as if I've been wearing the wrong size all along. I would have ordered the regular size one, but since I measured, it says here that I should be wearing an XL. I can't tell you how much more comfortable the XL is! I used to have to put a tissue at the top where the adjustable part is because the Velcro would grab and tear at my hair. Since I finally am wearing the right size there's no longer a need for that. Also, this is so much more comfortable than my other chin straps that are the wrong size. Before this, having never had the right one, I just assumed that it was something I would just have to put up with. Not so! I am so pleased. I highly recommend this chin strap. It's soft, comfortable, doesn't slide around and does a great job of holding your mouth closed without it feeling like you have your head in a vise. Get one!

Sleep Restfully, Inc. will only steal your money.
The chin strap itself is poorly designed. It keeps your mouth shut alright, at the expense of pulling your jaw backward thereby preventing adequate airflow through the esophagus. This defeats the purpose of the device itself. Yes, I got the right size. Yes, I put it on correctly. In order to deter from snoring, the jaw must protrude outward to relieve pressure from the back of the throat. This was not the case here. Now about the retailer, Sleep Restfully Inc. They don't really care whether this product works for you or not. Once they have your $20, you're "SOL" (if you're know what I mean). How convenient for them to hide behind Amazon stating that the items they sell cannot be returned "in accordance to Amazon's Refund Policy." Problem is, Amazon doesn't specifically include chin straps as unreturnable items. I can certainly understand the argument that the FDA prevents consumers from returning *certain* health products such as lancets or glucose test strips to prevent the spread of disease. But a chin strap? A CHIN STRAP? Give me a break. It's not like I was trying to return a used condom here.Thankfully, my appeal was heard by a true reputable seller such as Amazon and they decided to issue me the refund. Unlike Sleep Restfully, Inc., AMAZON stands behind their products and are quick to be advocates for their customers. That, my friend, wins loyalty.Sleep Restfully, Inc. is a thief and will only steal your money. Buyer beware.

Exactly what I needed
I use a CPAP to sleep and it's a pain in the butt to keep my mouth closed when I'm sleeping so I've tried a bunch of different products to do the trick. I went through 6 different chin straps in less than a year - all of them wore out within a few weeks or a month (if I was lucky) but this one is different. It's made of a sturdier material that doesn't shred over time and the Velcro doesn't pull out little bits and it holds strong. I've been using this for almost 6 months and it's still going strong. If you're looking for a good chin strap for CPAP use, this is the best one.
