Glorious
I had some similar segments placed under my rugs that didn't work at all so I was skeptical but I was hoping that just by having the whole rug lined instead of my crappy little patches that it would be at least an improvement. I got one to start and used on a 5x3 rug (I think) that was sliding all over the wood floor. This sucker is fan-freaking-tastic. Where previouly my rug would slide if I looked at it funny, now it stays put completely. I loved it much I decided to risk it on my runner which was even more of a slippery devil. Same results! Stays put soooo well. It's not got too much padding, so if you're looking for something to make your rug cushy to walk on, this isn't really it. If you need your rug to stay put and not fly around bc a butterfly flapped it's wings 500 miles away, this is the product for you.One of my dogs is always running around the place like a crazy person and it even stays put with that. She does still manage to somehow lift up the corner alomg with half the rug when she trips over it, but the rest of the rug stays solidly in place. Short of gluing the rug to the floor, nothing will stop her from missing it up when she has the zoomies. All in all, great product so far. Hopefully it continues to hold up over time, but we shall see.

Replaced all of my area rugs on top of hardwood floors & needed these for underneath
The new rugs did not have non-slip backs. These were a pretty good option to put underneath & stop the slipping.

Bought this for my queen size futon to hold the mattress in place and worked well
Bought this for my queen size futon to hold the mattress in place and it worked well. Size specified was perfect and it was easy to use. Did not have any defects in the product.

Keeps rug in place!
The rug is over a wood floor. So it slides at the slightest bump. This mat is spongy and grips the wood floor nicely without damaging it.

Must Air Out First Rug Still Slides Some
These are pretty smelly out of the package, so open it up and take it outside to off gas for several hours before putting it under your carpet and trapping the smell. Otherwise, we don't find that these are all that great because we have a couple of area rugs that creep, but they creep even with carpet tape, so we aren't sure why this is happening. These grip pads are ok because I'm sure our situation would be much worse if we didn't have them at all. I have had better grip pads in the past though.

Problem solved
This product simply works. Ordered for a 2 x 6 runner that I was constantly repositioning on my tile floor. Yes, it came folded. But, it laid flat from the get go. I simply picked up the runner at a long end, aligned the gripper, laid it back down and problem solved. Didn't need to trim it as it is a bout an inch less in width and length than the carpet dimensions, as I was expecting. There was NO odor alluded to by other reviews. A fast, easy, purchase that has solved the rug sliding problem. I wasn't seeking something to enhance softness. I was looking for a pad gripper. If you want softer carpet - buy one and slap this baby on it to keep it in place.

Grippy and No-slippy
What else might one expect from a decent carpet mat? I have a thicker, felt-like mat under a big area rug, and a similar mat to this on another small runner/carpet. This was purchased for a 7-foot runner in a hallway, a hard-wood floor, and there's little I can add to reviews and photos. It's like a web/mesh which gives a little feel of cushioning to a thin carpet, and no issues here at all with staying put (with the carpet too).So... it just works, good value for the price, no issues with unrolling it and laying it flat. So far, so good.

Ruins concrete floors, sticks to any surface and is hard to remove.
The seller buried the bullet point that this product ruins (yes ruins) concrete floors!! They don’t highlight the potential risk of their product. It deteriorates and sticks to any surface making it really hard to remove (it did this in the cabinets too).I put it on our finished concrete floors as they buried the warning in the product detail in the last bullet. It literally ruined the finish on the concrete. Will be hundreds of dollars to repair. The mat didn’t even work well before ruining the concrete. It stayed in place but the rug moved around atop it.Waste of money and ruined my floors and cabinet.
