Patelai 6 Pcs Highlighting Comb Weaving, Various Style, Black

Back in the '70s my hair was so long, I'd sit on it. I once got it caught in my car window because the breeze sucked it out when I was rolling the window up. Those were the days! Before the product-heavy '80s, we dealt with tangles using combs exactly like these: the good ol' rat tails. Flashing forward to today, I now am a caregiver for a gal with long, beautiful hair. The trouble is that she's bedridden, and because she moves her head a lot when she sleeps, her hair becomes tangled to the point of being matted. She's been a real trooper, suffering my sometimes ham-handed attempts to undo the damage using her hair brush. I would constantly talk about how "if I only had my combs from my long-hair days, I could knock this out quickly and with a lot less yanking." Then I found this set: a fortunate flashback find! Having two of the spike style rat tails lets me work mats apart with ease. The more solid 'tails make short work of the single snags n' loops and the different spacings are handy as one works through all of the snags. Her hair is quite fine, so the finer comb means we're doing the Grand Finale! Much less pain, super easy to use. One curious part of the set is the fat, multi-prong comb for different hair thicknesses. I haven't seen one like this before and I imagine it's quite the tool for the professionals who encounter different heads of hair frequently. For me, it's marginally helpful because my own hair differs from that of my client, so we both can benefit from it. The wider spacing of the comb makes this the perfect starter for a styling session. Having two of everything, and at this particular price, helps make my life easier and my client's scalp (and my wallet) less tortured! Classic hair tech for classic hair styling problems. Nice to have 'em back in my hair care arsenal!

These are fantastic for do it yourselvers!! I always highlight my own hair, these help the process of weaving out little sections much faster! And I love that they're are different size combs.

Use these all the time at the salon makes giving highlights a breeze

They are very consistent.. as others have said, they do not give a lot of separation to get your finger in between to scoop it off, but for long, straight hair, makes it very easy to be consistent. Not good for shorter or heavily layered hair... Have not tried it yet with curly hair. Worth the money if you do a lot of highlighting, even using the tail end the traditional well is very comfortable. Nice weight and length.

What a great product! These have definitely helped with speed of service. Quality product and a fantastic price.

I feel like these didn’t really do what it’s supposed to do, but I could’ve also been using them wrong, but I feel like it’s pretty self-explanatory. I was able to use a couple of them, but it was not a speedy process.

These will make my home highlights much easier to do! No more paying $350 in the salon. It's actually not hard to do your own hair...and I love that these are available. Who knew?!

Whether or not you’re a professional hairstylist is irrelevant, I wouldn’t recommend purchasing these combs simply because they make life more complicated. I attempted this while working in the salon and at home, I found them to be absolutely pointless and ineffective. There’s no need to replace weaving/slicing techniques with these combs.
