Bought to replace old unit that lasted years. Very quick delivery. Ideal for shingle paths and veg beds in garden to despatch weeds as I don't like to use weedkillers due to risk to animals, wildlife and crops. Simple to use and works fine (especially against annual weeds, perennials will need repeat treatments (especially horsetail)). Remember you don't need to incinerate, just heat weeds enough that internal cells are destroyed then weeds will wither in a few days. Also find gun useful for shou sugi ban technique when replacing boards on raised beds. Easy to do and done properly gives good protection to wood without the need for wood preservative that could leach into soil. Two issues I have encountered is that the wand is not that long and I have to stoop to treat the weeds (I'm only 5' 11" so not a giant! ) and the flame appears low powered and seems to take an age to see weeds wilt, not sure if this is down to pressure in the canister, seal where canister fits to wand or that gas is butane rather than propane or a mix of all three.

This is a very good and effective weed burner. It is something I would recommend you used during the summer rather than in the spring as it uses too much gas otherwise to try and burn the weeds. But it is so therapeutic when you are using these in the warmer months because it’s able to burn the weeds very quickly. And also it is quite therapeutic when you’re doing this.

The seal to attach the gas canister to the wand is not airtight. At least twice the bottle has fallen off, which is highly dangerous. It also clearly leaks, as I have emptied a can in only two weeks, when my previous - which I ought never to have got rid of - could treat a garden eight times the size of my present yard, using only two bottles in a summer. I imagine this faulty valve is the reason other users report a weak flame. The QR code on the packaging took me to a completely different device. No point trying to return as I got rid of the packaging after a couple of weeks sine the thence the thing seemed to be functioning, but I now can’t attach a gas can at all. My previous wand, which looked like the GoSystem device also available, lasted without problems for twenty years, so I think the problem is the device and not the operator. You can’t leave a no star review, so it has to receive one star. I concede the handle is more comfortable than the other design, so I will allow it that one good point. I suspect the manufacturer has recently changed as the review from the past couple of months have been universally dreadful.

Was impressed with a good powerful flame. Worked well on a blustery windy day where the flame went out now and again. Easy to restart with the ignitor straight away. Considering I was burning weeds on a block paving drive I didn't use a lot of gas. Unfortunately, the following day the ignitor does not work at all so used a lighter to light flame. Good weed burner but the ignitor is useless. Product requires a more reliable ignitor.

Great piece of kit. Easy to operate, lightweight and takes all the effort out of removing weeds from patios .

The Flint igniter doesn’t work

Within a few minutes of unpacking the weed burner I was trying it out in the garden. Easy to ignite and comfortable to use. The only issue was the inevitable strong smell of burning vegetation, but that is hardly the fault of the device. After use, care is needed as the nozzle becomes very hot and the gas cannister becomes very cold. A good product for a similar price to a pack of weedkiller.
