Great stick. Especially for the price. Looking to buy enough to replace my House Cues.

After you're ready to graduate from the $50 sticks (many of which are still quite good) this is a good next step. I like the solid action of this cue. The default tip is quite good as well. I got the 21 oz version and it's perfect for me. Things I like: The glossy handle sticks to my skin a little so I get good contact with a very light grip The shaft is already sanded smooth so it slides in my fingers without needing powder or gloves Included tip is great Things I don't like: The mahogany finish is almost black even in normal pool room lighting. I have to take it out in direct sunlight to see any color at all and even then it's very dark The balance point is a little further back than I'd like.

First thing - it's beautiful. Can't beat the stark beauty of a natural maple finish - and they got the stain perfect. Subtly darkened and no pink or green artifacts. The standard black collars and silver rings combine with the maple to form a most elegant instrument. On the functional side, the taper is very long and easily qualifies as the stated "pro taper" This particular stick is also a millimeter slimmer through the back end than my other Valhallas from a few years ago. That for me makes a more comfortable grip. I want to give this cue a 5 but the one I got has a slight wobble in the butt section. This is only detectable when it is spun separately and shouldn't affect shooting. The shaft itself is very straight and the assembled cue is well within visual tolerance. Can't fault the brand any.

A replacement for my original. Was not aware these were apparently being made overseas now but the quality of manufacture still very good. A slight difference in the grain - maybe not Maple from the Americas? Otherwise quite happy.
