works great, potentially risky for expensive devices
The adapter works great, no complaints there. I'm leaving a review because after I saw this recommended for steam decks and buying them, I learned about USB-C standards and that this adapter doesn't meet them (pretty expected from something cheap I guess), so if you use this to connect your device to a charger, there's a *potential* risk of it not grounding properly and frying the device. You may not mind (and I'm not necessarily saying you should), but I do think its worth knowing the risk exists. fwiw I used it for a few months without issue and eventually stopped just for my own peace of mind

The only magnetic connector that passed video and power
I’m running a Dell laptop that has the USB C dock connection. I’ve seen the USB port damaged from use and abuse from other users. I’ve tried three different brands of the USB C magnetic connectors. One set pushed data but no power. It was advertised as being complaint to pass power up to 100 watts. Another didn’t work at all. I have a portable monitor that I wanted quick and easy connections. The monitor runs solely from the single USB C cable to the laptop. I needed power to the laptop due to extended time off the dock. The monitor has two USB C ports for auxiliary power. I have power going to the second portable monitor and a USB C connected between the monitor and laptop for the video using this connector. This connection pushes the power and video to the pc. This is the only mag connector I found that worked. I’ve been using the connector on my dock and portable power cord for a couple of months and it’s been reliable. I just hooked up the monitor with it this week and it’s been equally reliable. The magnet is also very strong, but not crazy stupid strong. I’ll change my rating if it fails, but for now, I’m very happy with these. Expensive - but they work.

They don't last long, but at least they're cheap!
They work great, just not for long. The little pins on the cable side of the connector get bent after a while and it stops working. Luckily, they're cheap enough that replacing them isn't that big of a deal. I have to replace them every 2-3 months. Could be by design. lol

Reliable, effective
Pros: works with every notebook I tried it on (Lenovo ThinkPad, LG Gram, Macbook Pro); eliminates wear and tear on the port; supports charging, video, peripherals, etc. Cons: magnetic, so in principle it can pick up crap and debris that would cause poor connection or shorts. (I've had that happen with other magnetic adapters, hasn't been a problem with this one.) Basically, the device works, works well, and works seamlessly in my experience. I have multiple notebook computers and this lets me very easily put all of them on the same desktop dock setup, use a single charger for travel (rather than having to remember which notebook I'm taking), etc. On my desktop dock, I attached to a dock which in turn connects to an external monitor, keyboard, mouse and camera. No performance hit that I can tell, versus plugging the dock directly into the USB-C port. I'm going to buy a few more to support a few more notebooks in the family.

Works really well! - but too delicate.
May seem trivial, but this adds a level of convenience I never imagined. I also don't feel too confident about plugging and unplugging the USB-C connector in my laptop all the time (I move it around several times a day) so this device is perfect. UPDATE - 6 months later, the connector pins broke, rendering it useless. See photo. The central 'pillar' that supports the pins seems to be very delicate. I still think it's a great idea, and will replace it, but - not sure how long they will last. In the photo, you can see that the left side of the black plastic pillar has collapsed, and the pins are unsupported. One pin is loose and stuck to the magnet, far left. UPDATE - 8 months later, another one has broken (2nd photo attached). I bought a total of 6, so with the remaining 4 I'm going to be ultra careful with them - pulling straight off, placing straight on, not letting the magnet 'grab' the connectors. We will see if that helps prolong their life. Basically, they need to be made of stronger materials, OR, be longer/deeper to allow for mechanical alignment to ensure the pins don't suffer any sideways stress.

Works great
I have several pets, several children and my computer has been bupmed and even knocked onto the floor way to many times. I had to replace my power cord because the idiots that designed the computer have the power port on the side and the plug sticks out almost 1.5 inches. This is a laptop, unlike the people on the comercial, my laptop sits in my LAP! Anyway long story short, the tip on my power cord got damaged, so i bought a new one and in an attempt to prevent this from happening again I also bought this little magnetic conector. I LOVE IT! it does not "fall" off but if bumped it will come off, that is perfect. I do not have a power checker thing but playing my games, or working with screen on bright and music blasting (lots of power use) it provides enough power to run everything and recharge a low battery if I was working on battery for a while. When I say rechagre also, I mean fast, lol I would say every bit as fast as a hard conection.

I bought 6 L shaped, and 2 are already broken.
I bought 6 L shapes, and 2 are already broken in a month. Out of the 6, I have 2 backups that I rarely use. It's basically like a 50% chance they will break on you. I love the L-shaped 100w adapter, but they break way too easily. Each time they broke, the pins broke in the adapter part and USB-C magnetic piece too. I use them for many things, but both times they broke while using my Steam Deck. I assume it's a coincidence since I use my Steam Deck often, but thought that I would bring it up. I would give them a 1 star, but I love them enough I keep buying more when they break, but 20 dollars every month isn't cheap. They are also very hard to get out of the charging port. Buy at your own discretion. Just know these aren't long-term products.

The magnets and overall build quality of this are solid. However there is fundamental flaw in the design. The male part of the adaptor which is the L shaped part on your USB cable, has 2 rows of thin delicate metal strips/legs, it only takes the magnets to pull the connection together at a slight off angle, and it bends one of these legs. The next time you need to connect is when you realise it wont fit together - I had to use tiny tweezers to bend the leg back in place (but now it bends again every 10 times or so) It then means you are trying to delicately attach the connection, which is the opposite of what you need from a device aimed at convenience. I had another magnet connection like this prior but it was not fast charging, it used small gold nubs on both sides, which means there is nothing to damage. So I would strongly recommend not buying these, as it is not a case of ‘IF’ but ‘WHEN’ they will get damaged.

will drain too much battery even when ideal. Inside of connector is started to rust.

Habe mittlerweile meinen gesamten Apple Gerätepark damit ausgestatttet. iPad, MacBook, externen Monitor, USB Hub, USB Kabel... So funktioniert das "andocken" super fluffig.

Works as intended and magnet fucntionality is very convenient

Very useful. Essentially eliminate wear and tear of the USB-C connection on the laptop.
