Q: This is advertised as having detachable caps. They will not come off for me. Is there a trick to getting them off?

They are quite tough to get off. You have to hold the pole and twist the cap as if your trying to unscrew a bottle cap.

Q: Does anybody have the 128-238cm pole? Is the pole strudy and of good quality? How easy is it to extend and fit?

There is no “unlock” procedure, you simply grip one half of the pole and pull against the spring, away from the wall. You may be able to slide one end in a downward motion against the wall, which will reduce the spring tension as the pole length increases. It is simply the spring tension exerting enough force on the two opposite walls which keeps it in position. Hope that helps.

Q: I cannot get it to fully lock in place and hold jackets - It eventually just falls down. What am I doing wrong?

I found an easy mistake was not to extend the rod enough past the gap - so when you press in the end to fit there is not a reasonable level of tension. We only used it for medium weight curtains so not sure how much weight it will take before falling. Good luck
