Stainless box to protect outdoor gear
This is a very thin stainless box that I am using to house my amateur radio antenna and ground protection. I mounted it on a painted 5/8” piece of exterior plywood cut to size and used a hole punch to make 2 holes for 2” PVC conduit in the bottom. The lock is plastic and not secure, but keeps the door closed. As always, don’t use sealants that cure with acetic acid on metals. Although I have no leaks, I avoided putting holes anywhere but the bottom and attach points to the backboard, where I used stainless sheet metal screws. The edges appear well sealed. This doesn’t claim to meet NEMA specs, but it is a good box for the price, imo.

Durable
The 304 Stainless Steel Electrical Box is like the fortress of enclosures—tough, weatherproof, and ready to protect your electrical components from just about anything. With its 20”x16”x8” size, this box offers plenty of room for your indoor or outdoor projects, and the included mounting plate makes installation a breeze.Made from high-quality 304 stainless steel, it’s not just rust-resistant but practically impervious to corrosion, so you don’t have to worry about harsh weather or long-term use. The weatherproof design ensures everything inside stays safe and dry, whether it’s in your backyard, garage, or an industrial setting.I used this to house some outdoor electrical connections, and it’s been a game-changer. The sturdy construction and secure latches gave me total peace of mind, even during heavy rains. Plus, it looks sleek and professional—not like some clunky utility box.If you’re looking for a durable, anti-rust enclosure that’s as functional as it is rugged, this one fits the bill. Just be ready to feel overly confident about your electrical setup—it’s practically overkill in the best way possible!

It’s thin!
It’s nice ,but it’s really thin making it very flimsy.

Locks are garbage
No point in buying this box if you want it to lock and be safe. You can open these locks with a paperclip, flat tip screw driver, or even any other key on your key chain.

Cheap Construction
Yes, it is a stainless enclosure. We install for holding solar battery and controls for gate opener and lights at the road entrance. The box function, but is really thin gauge material. It will dent without much effort. The lock mechanism is pretty flimsy.I'd recommend to get something more substantial.

I’ve seen better, I’ve seen worse.
Thankfully we intend this for indoor use. It looks good on delivery, but wasn’t nearly as heavy gauge as I’d hoped— just a little bit thicker than “can I dent it easily with my hands?” (And I’m a small woman with tiny hands.). The dimensions are as described. It seals tightly, like to keep critters out, and I *might* use it outside if it were in a protected area. But like my husband says, he hates to do anything involving manual labor for the first time, and when it comes to the SECOND time he’s really mad. This is why I’m glad he’s using it inside. It’ll hold up to indoor use, hopefully for a long time.

Sturdy and Reliable Stainless Steel Electrical Box
I am thrilled with the stainless steel electrical box I purchased! This box is huge, measuring 20" x 16" x 8", making it perfect for housing the electrical work for my pool pumps and heater. While I haven’t installed it yet, I was impressed as soon as I opened the packaging. The construction is solid, and it feels very well-made, with a substantial weight that gives me confidence in its durability. The stainless steel finish looks sleek and professional, ideal for outdoor use. Although stainless steel sometimes raises concerns about rust, this box claims to have anti-rust protection, so I’m optimistic it will hold up over time. It’s an excellent choice for outdoor electrical projects where weather resistance is crucial. I can’t wait to see how it performs once installed on the side of my pool house!

Seems well made
Personally, I think this is a nice box for the money. No, it is not an industrial electrical panel box, nor is is a safe. It is an electrical panel box intended for wire junctions, terminal strips, relays, breakers...etc. It is not intended to protect your valuables. The lock is not that kind of lock. Its purpose is mainly to keep the door closed. Not to keep your valuables safe. For someone with a small shop and/or with small automated machinery requiring a panel, this is great. Easy to house a few relays and small PLC. If you like to design and build small projects, this is a great box for that. While I think it should be a little thicker steel, it was actually heavier than I expected it to be. The build was better than other boxes I have used recently as well. Some of which the welds were not even finished.I like this box and would recommend it. But to like it, you need to know what it is, and what it is not before you order. IMHO, it is a well made indoor electrical panel. I know that it has weather proofing, but there is more to the outdoors than just rain. So I would probably reserve this for an indoor application.
