Exceptional work boots that have completely exceeded my expectations for comfort and protection!
These Carhartt Force 5" lightweight sneaker boots have been absolutely incredible for my demanding work environment and completely transformed my daily comfort and safety on the job - the quality is outstanding with genuine Carhartt construction that delivers the durability I expect from this trusted brand while incorporating modern lightweight materials that eliminate the heavy, clunky feeling of traditional work boots. The functionality is phenomenal as the nano composite toe provides excellent protection that meets safety requirements without the weight and bulk of steel toes, and I love how the sneaker-boot hybrid design offers ankle support and protection while maintaining the flexibility and comfort needed for all-day wear during physical work. They look great with sleek, modern styling that works perfectly for both job sites and casual wear, and the Force technology keeps feet dry and comfortable even during long, demanding workdays in various weather conditions. At this price point for Carhartt quality with composite toe protection, it's incredible value compared to expensive specialty work boots that often sacrifice comfort for safety features - these boots have allowed me to stay comfortable and protected throughout 12-hour shifts while maintaining the professional appearance required in my workplace, and colleagues constantly ask about them because they notice how much more energetic I am at the end of workdays since switching from my old heavy boots, making this one of the smartest work gear investments for combining safety, comfort, and durability in footwear that actually enhances job performance rather than creating fatigue and discomfort that affects productivity and wellbeing.

Great lightweight boot. VERY HAPPY!
I needed a pair of boots that would stand up to a lot of abuse, but also did not want anything too heavy. These fit the bill perfectly. Often time throughout the day, I'll forget that I'm not wearing sneakers. They were comfortable at first and have only become more comfortable as they've broken in. I would say they have a narrow fit with a high arch support inside. My feet also do not get very hot in these like they have with other boots. Traction feels pretty standard for a non aggressive tread. They feel like a great quality and I can foresee them lasting a long time. I got these on sale for ~$80 and am thrilled with the value for the money. I would even think think the standard price they are listed at when not on sale is very reasonable.

Sneaker styling and comfort with construction toughness!
I do IT and electrical construction. Whether we are doing electrical rough-ins or expanding network capacity, having comfortable shoes that are tough is huge when you're on your feet for 8 to 10 hours a day or more.. with no breaks in the midst of it all. These boots are great. I would compare them to Ariat in terms of quality but for less. They look almost like sneakers, which is unusual and kinda cool. It will take a good two weeks or so to break em in. The material is mostly a stiff canvas so you might feel pressure on your upper mid foot. The insoles are solid though I would say my fellow flat footers should consider custom insoles or Dr. Scholls "Work All Day" insoles. The arch support is rather aggressive, almost feeling like you have a nail or rock stuck in your boot. I'm exposed to cutting oil and all sorts of fluids all day. These boots are built tough and show no signs of wear anywhere. That's impressive considering I have a wicked instep and soles tend to show wear early on. I went with the brown and tan style. Love it. The black ones are nice too and probably better if you want to hide dark oil stains. Special thanks to my coworker for recommending these. They're s great value! I will reiterate that the break-in is rough, as wirh most work boots. The heel and bridge of my foot were particularly rough for me. I do still notice my toes feeling trapped at times but that could be more of a sizing or weird walking things. Definitely not a deal breaker. I would say try a half size smaller than your normal walking shoe if you want wiggle room. A full size down should be good for your average comfort needs while remaining secure. I am glad I went with the wide variant becsuse, again the canvas material doesn't flex much so you'll feel thst pressure. Did I mention they're super lightweight and waterproof?? Overall, some of the most comfortable boots I've ever warn. Consider these over Cat, Timberland, and similar brands.

Comfy
Had these over a year. They're very comfortable and light. I never think about my feet in these boots. They've been exposed to extremely harsh chemicals and conditions and have held up exceptionally. Only complaint I have is they do kind of look like clown shoes. Not the best looking boot but they're comfortable and hold up. And they're cool on your feet. Would definitely buy again.

Love These Carhartt Boots! Bought Twice
Fall 2023: I’m very happy with these. They’re extremely comfortable and look great. ——— Fall 2025 Update: After two years, I’ve purchased a new pair of these boots. They’re absolutely incredible. Lightweight, but supportive. The width is perfect for my feet. The ankle back panel can scrunch down easily when putting them on, but doesn’t lose its form otherwise. The sole has maintained its tread after two years of consistent wear. My only complaint is that the original laces wear and fray quickly, so I replaced them about a year into ownership.

Updated Carhartt is not so good
Not good. Sole is okay but the entire upper is weak and not insulated. My normal size in Carhartt did not fit me correctly. I wish that Carhartt would bring back its former designs.

AAR: MEN'S FORCE 5' WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
BLUF: I'VE WORN MILITARY COMBAT BOOTS DURING MY LAST TEN YEARS OF SERVICE AND HAVE BEEN THROUGH THEM ALL. IVE I'VE RECENTLY TRANSITIONED INTO A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT WHERE ASTM CERTIFIED FOOTWEAR IS REQUIRED. THE FOLLOWING OBDERVATIONS AND OPINIONS ARE NOTED. OBSERVATIONS: A. PROS: 1. LIGHTWEIGHT. 2. COMFORTABLE ONCE WORN IN. 3. TIME TO WEAR IN: 8 HRS 4. FAIR VENTILATION. YOUR FEET WILL NOT SWEAT AS EXCESSIVELY AS A LEATHER BOOT. 5. FITS AS EXPECTED. 6. EASY TO CLEAN. 7. APPEALING PRICE. B. CONS: 1. TOES FRAYED WITHIN 6 WEEKS. 2. SHOE LACE ENDS STRIPPED OFF. 3. LARGER IN APPEARANCE THAN AVERTISED. 4. SLIGHT DISCOMFORT FOR FIRST 8 HOURS. 5. OVERPRICED. 6. MEDIOCRE QUALITY. RECCOMENDATION: THESE WERE PURCHASED FOR A SPORTY YET SOMEWHAT PROFESSIONAL LOOK. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 8 HRS OF USE THEY WORE IN AND WERE CONFORTABLE. OVER 6 WEEKS, THEY QUICKLY DEGRADED. TOES FRAYED. CLEAN LOOK DIMINISHED. CURRENT APPEARANCE IS RAGGEDY. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR LONGEVITY IN A SAFETY TOE SHOE/BOOT, CONSIDER EQUIVALENTLY PRICED ITEM OR INVEST THE EXTRA MONEY FOR SOMETHING MADE OF LEATHER. IT IS WORTH IT. IF YOU WANT COMFORT AND A BOOT THAT WILL AST ~6 MONTHS, BUY THIS.
