Has a natural taste and taste and aroma; not chemical at all in my opinion. I love that it's pure and I can add it to coffee, cocktails or lemonade and it instantly elevates any drink. Only needs a small drop or two, making the bottle last a long time. Was looking for lavender without sugar (such as the syrups sold for beverages), so this was great. Just bought another bottle.
