OliveNation Dried Chanterelle Mushrooms, Whole Dried Chanterelles - 4 ounces

The description and the photo are wrong. It does not say that the chanterelle are dry.Quite disappointing.

I have not used them yet, safe in the pantry. They look alright and are not glowing on the dark (Chernobil).People in central Europe went bananas after that explosion and following radiation from the Ukraine.

I have been buying their mushrooms for years and the quality is consistently excellent. One tip: keep in the freezer for freshness and to discourage bugs.

Entire bag was filled with crumbled pieces and not at all whole as indicated by the picture. I attempted to rehydrate them in 3 different methods. A slow soak in warm water for 8 hours, a light blanch, and a room temperature soak. I’d say 80% of the pieces in the bag remained rubbery. Might be good for broth but will be hard using them for anything else. It’s extremely overpriced considering.
