Difference between wifi extender and network extender?

A Wi-Fi extender is a unit that essentially amplifies your Wi-Fi signal - place it where you have a weak signal and it will boost your Wi-Fi. A network extender gives you the ability to extend your wired network. You have 2 units plugged into the mains; one near to and connected to the router, the other somewhere else in the building. The units are paired and you then plug a LAN cable into the second unit. Essentially you are using the house mains circuit as a LAN. I hope this helps

Can I buy individual extender plugs to add?

Yes, I have some as rj45 ethernet splitters on my home network for extra sockets , for my more portable devices as well as the statics desktops and peripherals on my home network.

I have 510 kit but need an additional extender do I have to buy another kit or are they available individually

Does this device provide WiFi on the other end or just the port?

Hi. I purchased the model with just a cable port connector, But the model you refer to has both a cable port and WiFi capability. Hope this helps.

Stable wired internet where Wi-Fi struggled

I have thick walls and Wi-Fi upstairs is poor, so I tried this instead of another extender. Setup took about a minute. One by the router, one in the bedroom, press pair. Internet worked straight away. No apps or setup screens. You won’t see 1000 Mbps, but I get around 100–200 Mbps consistently, which is far better than the unstable Wi-Fi I had before. Gaming latency improved and 4K streaming no longer buffers. It behaves like a long Ethernet cable rather than wireless. Things to know • plug directly into a wall socket • performance depends on house wiring • no passthrough socket or Wi-Fi output It fixed a real problem where Wi-Fi extenders failed.

Works perfectly! Super easy to set up — literally plug and play. Speeds are fast and stable, and the connection stays strong even across rooms. Great powerline kit, highly recommended.

Very good socket adaptors

These work as intended and allow great speed over the power cables. I didn't get the wireless version so can't speak for that, but the wired version works very well. Not huge either. The only down side, is that occasionally one of the three I have linked up will just unlink and the system has to be relinked.

Denk erom, dit artikel heeft een UK-stekker. Alleen te gebruiken met een omvormer. Nogal dom om dat op een Nederlandse pagina van Amazon te zetten. Maar ik neem aan, dat het werkt (moet nog wachten op de omvormers).
