Quiet and compact
Exactly as it needed to be! Great little filter for my 10 gallon tank. 3 for this price is awesome because you can tear one apart trying to put an air stone (sold seperately) inside it thats too big and have 2 extras. (My fault.)

Nice set of three tiny sponge filters good for up to 10 gallons.
I got the pack of 3, which includes 3 filters. However, I noticed in one of the reviews that theirs came with tubing for them and an air adjuster piece. I did not receive any of that. I just got the sponges and small parts for the filter itself. With that said I really like them so far. I have recently gone to these types of in-tank sponge filters for some of my tanks, and I like them. I use them in addition to the main filter, though. I was so happy to see that someone made extra small ones like these because everything I saw up to this point was just too big for my beta tank. The tank itself is 5 gallons, but I have a divider in the middle right now so it is housing two beta fish. The filter is on one side and cant clean on the other side of the divider. And it is a bad filter anyway. It sits up too high with hardly any water flow through it. I want to take it out and replace it with two of these. One on each side of the divider. And because they are so small, I can do this without worrying about the filter taking up too much swimming room from my betta fish. They aresSuper easy to set up. And I appreciate the bottom having weight to help it stay down. All you need, and you definitely are going to need this, is an air pump. In my case, I need either two of them or a splitter. (I forgot what they are called) I do wish that the air tubing didn't go down the same spot the air bubbles come up from. Fo a more pleasant look. But I'll get over it.

Work great and good value
Love these little filters! They're perfect for my 5 gallon quarantine tank. I modify them to add an air stone so I get more bang for the buck (there are youtube videos on this if you are interested). They are not weighted, but they sink just fine after squeezing the sponge in tank water a time or two. Easy to clean - just removed the cap with the tube and air hose, pull off the sponge, and squeeze it a few times in your dirty tank water when you're doing a water change. Your beneficial bacteria is housed in the filter, so never rinse it in chlorinated tap water that can kill it off and mess up your cycle. Sponge filters are so much quieter than hang-on-back filters, too. Once you go with a sponge filter you will never go back! Very happy with these filters. Also, it's always great to have some back ups in case you need them so getting 3 is a nice insurance policy for very little investment.

Good. Go an extra size up if it fits.
I love that these are weighted on the bottom. I have gotten some sponge filters that literally float up. I have not had problems with them clogging... Yet... I have had the problem where they don't quite provide enough filtration for the setup where they are installed. I have been a long time advocate for over filtration, and I am reaffirming my belief with this product. I have bought them for both primary and supplemental filtration. I've found them falling short in both categories. So, if you have a canister or hang on the back that tends to clog, you still want to go a size greater, so that you have enough supplemental filtration until you notice that the primary filtration is clogged. Yes, I am a lazy (OLD!) fish keeper, and I am not ashamed. That said, I believe in contingencies to make sure that my fish are healthy despite my own limitations.

Excellent value
These are cute little things. They were the perfect size for the tiny tank I put them in. You have to hold them down a while so they stay at the bottom but most of these sponge filters are like that. They were at an excellent price which nowadays meens a lot more than it used to. You could see the difference in water quality after only a few minute in my small tank.

Great for small tanks
Perfect for a small tank. I have these in my betta tanks and they do a great job of filtering the water as well as adding some extra air and water movement to the tank. You will need an air pump and tubing to run these.

Gets the job done
low price but not low-quality material. They get the job done for all my fish and shrimp breeding, very effective for adding water movement and growing biofilm for babies to eat. Noise level is good, but it will really depend on your air pump and how close you have the bubbles to the surface. For the price you really can't beat it.

Amazing Filters
These are my go to filters for all of my smaller fish tanks. These have held up incredibly over the past 3-4 years and have been outstanding. You don't have to keep replacing them like the hang on the back filters you put them in a bucket of tank water clean them and they are good as new.

All Fish Dead immediately after
I installed the three-pack aquarium filter cartridges in established betta tanks that had been stable and running without issues. Water parameters were consistent, no recent water changes had been performed, no new decor or treatments were introduced, and feeding routines remained the same. The Only change made was the addition of these filter cartridges. Shortly after installing them, all three previously healthy betta fish died. The timing was immediate and alarming. Given that no other variables were introduced, the filters were the only new factor. While I understand that causation can be debated, the sequence of events raises serious concerns about the safety and quality control of this product. This was an extremely distressing outcome. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product, and I would strongly advise caution before purchasing anything from this seller. To conclude, I do NOT recommend any products from this seller or brand. Devastatingly Horrible experience.
