This is an easy 5-stars for me. The price is amazing and it works extremely well. Ok, it's my first microscope so maybe I'm easily pleased, but it captures very good images at high magnification. Best of all for me is the fact that you just hook it up to your PC (it's plug and play, so just plug it in to a USB port and then turn on the 'Camera' app that comes with Windows) and you see the images on the screen instead of having to look into the microscope itself. This is really handy, it allows you to press the camera against your skin, hair, clothing etc and just look at the screen. The cable is long enough for it to reach from my PC, which is on a desk, down to the carpet. Then you can just hit 'Print Screen' and save your images in a paint package. I've had loads of fun with it and for £30, you just can't go wrong. The only issue I had, being a microscope noob, is that I couldn't work out how to focus it properly. A little bit of reading later and I realised that this an issue with all microscopes and it's due to focal length etc. It's not really a problem though, press it up against your subject and alter the zoom until it comes into focus. I find that for most subjects, I get clarity at two different zooms, one giving a good overall close-up and then it goes fuzzy until it comes into view again for a much more zoomed in close-up.

Well packaged, great microscope for the money, very easy to set-up. Connected via usb and used with the camera app in windows. Of course it’s not as good as the more expensive digital microscopes. But perfect for pcb work, soldering and surface mount work! Both 4K and 1080p modes have fantastic picture quality. Well built and feels premium for the cost!

Updated 11 June 23 Paid c.16.00GBP for this. Think I could have got it for less if I had been prepared to wait for longer delivery. Very grateful for 'The Bloke's' review which made its strengths and weaknesses very clear. I wanted this now for identification of plant parts, but wish I'd had one when I was a kid! Fab piece of kit at a low price. I can't give an informed technical assessment, but high magnification easily/instantly achieved. Plugged it into my Huawei phone to no effect. Plugged it into my Mac laptop and got instant imaging, using the Photo Booth app that is standard for Mac OS. Just open Photo Booth and select this from the Camera drop down. Capture images, if you wish, using the Photo Booth function. Simples! Can't find any app that will make it work on my android phone (or my old Blackberry, but that's not surprising.) The stand is indeed crap, but I can make do with hand held for my purposes. Comes with a clear plastic film 'ruler' which gives you some idea of scale/measurement. There is an instruction manual (instructions for installing and using the bundled software; plus instructions on how to use with different devices), some software on a mini-disc (which I do not plan to install) and a separate USB/USB-c connector. The cable itself has a standard USB which converts to mini-USB. So connectivity seems good. The knurled knob on the body of the microscope is for focus and zoom function. Was a bit stiff at first. Although marked as "40X – 1000X", suggesting a zoom function on that scale, I have been able to make it zoom – but am not sure what magnification it really achieves. The two buttons, zoom and snap, seem to do nothing – and body-mounted controls of all types on a device for high magnification are pretty useless because of the shaking they introduce into the image. There is a light level control on the cable – another knurled wheel. The clear plastic hood functions in two ways, as far as I can see. It holds a lens cap which prevents dust etc getting inside. Plus it acts as a fixed length focus stand, i.e. you can simply press the plastic opening against the surface you are looking at and focus in with the focus wheel. After that you get a focussed image by simply pressing the opening against any object/surface you wish to view. Being clear, you can adjust position by eye. It simply pulls off, if you don't want it. Overall, although it has some redundant and some stupid features, it remains a fab piece of kit that gives high digital magnification. It is still good for what it is. I recommend it if you have simple needs or are a hobbyist looking for fun magnification. Needs a reliable stand.

A great bit of kit for the money. A bit of a faff to set up, but once running it with S-EYE software it works fine apart from zoom, but that's not a bother. Image quality is good for the money paid and does exactly what I need it to do. Recommended. Trying to set the Amcap software up was a nightmare as Windows didn't trust, and kept blocking the drivers. I gave up on that one and used S-EYE which is fine.

It's okay I guess, it's a bit of a nuisance as it keeps disconnecting, but when it works it's fine for the price. Easy to use with the stand and you can literally take it anywhere as it plugs into your phone. Image quality is good enough, but you need to have an application to be able to show you the image. Great little microscope at good value, lacks decent software for use on phones.

So I got this for my daughter to observe things. It arrived on time,the packaging was good,and the stand was amazing.But the microscope's USB wasn't working properly on either phone or computer,also the type C adapter didn't come with it. Definitely not what I expected.

This microscope is extremely useful for showing details of many objects, without the need to destroy the object. However, prepared objects between slides can be studied as well. Attached a screen copy with S-EYE (the software) connected to the Jiusion USB microscope. You see dried coffee on a plastic slide. The microscope is adjusted to about 1000 times. A disadvantage is that the transparant plastic safety cap at the front of the microscope should be removed first to reach 1000 times.

Ich hatte schon das Vorgängermodell und war damals schon sehr zufrieden mit der Auflösung und der Qualität. Aber jeyyy, die Schwachstellen, die es damals hatte, sind jetzt endgültig beseitigt. Die Kamera lässt sich super einfach mit dem iPhone verbinden – kein seltsames Kästchen mit Akku mehr nötig, wie es beim Vorgänger der Fall war. Die Auflösung ist auf jeden Fall ausreichend für alle Anwendungszwecke, egal ob Löten, zum detaillierten untersuchen von Platinen oder was am meisten Spaß macht - zur Untersuchung des eigenen Körpers. Ob der Sensor tatsächlich 4k liefert, konnte ich nicht definitiv überprüfen. Das Dateiformat zeigt jedenfalls 4K an sofern man die Qualität in der App auf 4K einstellt. Aber letztendlich wäre das auch egal, weil die Auflösung wirklich mehr als ausreichend ist. Wie man an den Bildern sehen kann (auch wenn sie vermutlich von Amazon komprimiert wurden), kann man perfekt in einen Mikro-USB-Stecker reinschauen und die Pins überprüfen. Zusätzlich gibt es noch ein paar Bilder der Oberfläche eines Kugellagers, um zu zeigen, wie detailliert die aufnahmen sind. Fazit: Schwachstellen des Vorgängers beseitigt, tolle Auflösung, einfache Handhabung – klare Empfehlung! Würde eich noch zu dem besseren Standfuß raten. Macht mehr Spaß wenn er sich mit drehrad höhenverstellen lässt.

Great tool to use when you need to work on tiny details. I bought it to help me repair my phone and it perfectly does the job! Easy to install, just downloaded the apps available and you can even zoom 5x extra. Very fine image details with balanced color and contrast. If needed, the app allows you to tweak them even more. I like the illumination and its brightness. Enough to do minuscule work like soldering SMD components. Very nice product for the price. I definitely recommend it.
