27" Dressing Stick, Sock Remover Tool, Independent Living Aid, Dressing Aids for Shoes, Socks, Shirts, and Pants

A recent hip replacement left me needing assistance devices until I was approved for full mobility again. This has turned out to be one of the most useful things ever! It's been so helpful in so many situations--especially during the first weeks when dressing, using the restroom, or simply reaching something that I normally would just lean over and grab were all very difficult or impossible. I used it to pull up clothing, pull a chair closer so I could push up on it, turn things on/off, get a pillow from the other end of the sofa, reach things that rolled too far away, and so much more. I would say that this dressing stick, a "grabber," and the thing that helps you put on socks should go home with everyone who has a joint replacement because you're absolutely going to need all three if you don't want to be completely dependent on pestering someone else constantly. Even now that I've regained near normal mobility, this is a device that I'm going to keep using because it's the perfect thing for tucking a lap throw around my feet and legs so the cold air can't get in through gaps. Just use this under the blanket to snag the bottom edge of the throw and pull it under your feet and legs. No more dislodging one area while trying to get everything tucked in nicely. I love it! Additionally, the finish on the wood is silky smooth, and the whole thing disassembles to fit into 12 inches (14" if you leave the large hook attached), which makes it travel friendly.

Well made , better than any I previously bought/used. This one will last. But more importantly , it works and has quality "construction" that should stand up for use even on compression socks.

Ok for shoes and socks

Very helpful stick for dressing and shoes.

The wood that holds the sock remover split. So I can’t use the sock remover. I can use the hook and I am apprehensive about using that.I can’t use it. Totally disappointed.

The hook was too big for me to zip up my boots. I wished it was made smaller.

I am not using it as it really is designed for but it helps me get boxes moved forwards toward me on shelves at work because I cannot reach far enough to the back. It makes my job easier in that respect. And being able to break it down to 2 pieces so I can keep it in my locker at work is a plus ++. Thanks amazon for the quick shipping!!

It works as described!

This dressing stick is just what I needed, especially for my shoes and boots. Both have zippers and seeing I can't bend down to reach them. Now I don't have any more problems. The stick is very sturdy and both ends work nicely to catch, retrieve and pull. Recommend this for all who have problems bending down to reach at floor level.

Bought it for my parents, it helps them dress much easier

I bought one of these only to have the wood split and the large hook fell out. And, the wood split at the joining point between the two pieces. Purchased a second one ( foolish of me as things turned out but wanted to give the company the benefit of the doubt) and this time the large hook sheared off - looks like the metal was too weak to do the job. Would I recommend this product? No.

Well made, nicely finished. Standard design for dressing tool. Needs a little practice to use it effectively
