I love making sauces inspired by cooking shows, so I needed a fine mesh strainer that could easily remove unwanted spices and small bits. This one is absolutely perfect! This is a good-quality strainer. I've been looking for a strainer that will fit over the mouth of the cup and contain the tea leaves I use. This strainer fits the bill. It has a good-sized lip for stability over a cup, and it feels sturdy. Those elements are important. It should function as it's supposed to and not feel cheap.

I actually bought this for a very unconventional reason — my senior dog has no teeth and has become extremely picky about eating. Some days he’ll only eat kibble if I hand-feed him, and this strainer was the closest thing I could find that mimicked the shape of my hand while still holding his food securely. It ended up working surprisingly well! The fine mesh cradles the kibble nicely, it’s lightweight, easy to hold, and gentle enough for feeding. If you have an elderly dog, a picky eater, or a pet that needs a little extra encouragement to eat, this might help more than you’d expect. Not its intended purpose… but definitely a lifesaver in our house. ❤️🐶
