Did the trick, saved me from the shocking experience when sanding using bench top long belt sander.
Static electricity being generated using the vertical belt sander was painful, connected to the unit and my wrist, no more shock. The family pack was reasonable enough, didn't want to be without one.

No good for TENS or ESTEM use////Size of band
These are perfect for their designed use but are useless for TENS or ESTEM use. They have a 1 megaohm resistor built into the snap. I should have remembered that from my computer days. ----------------------------------------------------------------- I received a question about the size of the band but that question seems to be gone but I will answer it anyway. Band is 3/4 inches wide. Laid flat unstretched it is 3 1/2 inches (times pi gives a 11 inch circumference). Unstretched it will not fit a beer can. Stretched laid flat it is 6 1/2 inches long (times pi gives 20 1/2 inches) It fits a 2 litter soda bottle just fine.

decent anti-static wristband
The coiled wired to attach to ground is cheap - stiff and not high quality. The band seems adequate. But the plus factor is that the button post is wide and provides a better connection than the ones with a tiny post. Most (and these) offer a removable alligator clip - another bonus.

really good anti shock protection for work on pc's
I work in the IT community and was getting shocked taking pc's out of the box. I also upgrade the drives and RAM memory on computers. I was really concerned about damaging the pc's I was working on. The product works and the price allowed me to buy multiple ESD straps for my coworkers.

Will not show direct continuity this is ok
To Rick or anyone. They will not show continuity. As they have 1 meg ohm resistor built into the strap for protection from shock in case you get into live circuit

Very stiff, tightly coiled
Very stiff, tightly coiled, won't allow much freedom of movement to the user.
