TL;DR So, I've been using the stock Iphone earbuds on my iphone 7+ for the past 3 years and 8 months. Yes I am one of those people who buy quality stuff and try to make it last as much as possible. I remember the first time i used these earbuds, i was blown away by the clarity, the ergonomic inside ear fitting, call quality and its stylish looks. It had been my trusted companion for calls, music, gym training's, long haul flights, sweat, rain and life in general. I noticed there was some earwax on it which i cleaned regularly ( i couldn't clean the speaker grills, just the exterior). Not sure whether it was that, my extensive usage or me manhandling it in bags/pockets, its output had become severely subdued. I had even forgotten how clear and thumpy they sounded and was just making do with what i had (started using separate headphones for music). The wires wore out and yesterday, the left earbud gave up. Given these covid-19 times, i was like heck, lets go for the AIRPODS, and live wirelessly. But then i thought, we are all anyway stuck at home, why invest $250 or $150 for the wireless experience. even if i wish to flaunt them, there aint no pint! adding to that, I am also quite skeptical about bluetooth radiation, esp because i attend 2 to 3 hour calls a day from work and family and the worst, why buy another device asking regular charging! Finally, I decided to go with these. And boy do they sound amazing. The same way they did when i first experienced them. Just super happy with my investment. Rest assured, GO FOR IT!
