Great Suitcase For The Money!!!
The Samsonite Freeform Carry-On Spinner is an excellent suitcase that combines lightweight design, smooth mobility, and practical storage in a compact carry-on size. One of its biggest strengths is how light it feels, making it easy to lift into overhead bins and transport through airports without adding unnecessary weight to your trip. The spinner wheels roll effortlessly in every direction, allowing the suitcase to glide smoothly across airport terminals, hotel lobbies, and sidewalks. Even when fully packed, it remains easy to maneuver and requires very little effort to push or pull. Its compact size is another major advantage. The Freeform fits comfortably in most airline overhead compartments while still providing plenty of packing space for clothing, shoes, and travel essentials. The expandable design offers additional room when needed, making it a great choice for both short weekend trips and longer vacations. The durable hard-shell exterior helps protect belongings during travel, and the built-in TSA-approved lock adds extra security and peace of mind. Combined with its sleek appearance and reliable performance, the Freeform is a carry-on that delivers outstanding value.

This luggage rated well and the price is budget friendly!
We haven’t checked it in with an airline yet. But I was surprised how much room the medium size FreeForm has for packing. Depending how disciplined of a packer you are I think it is plenty of room for 1 person. It is also lightweight which I think will make it easier for lifting at the airport. My only complaint is that more thorough instructions about the locking system are not provided. However you can do an Internet search and find helpful information. Additionally, I did some Google Gemini (AI) research and found that the FreeForm luggage consistently was among the top contenders in the rating articles I read. Also, it is budget friendly so that I was able to buy 2 so my spouse has his own bag.

This item is perfect. It has ample space for clothes, shoes, toiletries, and other items for a weekend trip. The wheels turn nicely, and it rolls perfectly. Love this case.

Excellent carry on suitcase for travel
Excellent suitcase! I bought it to take to Europe for a 3 week vacation and it held up perfectly. I only wanted a carry on because we were going to take trains too. It was the perfect suitcase to take. It went through all the abuse of the airports the trains the stairs and the cobble streets of Europe and my over stuffing it with clothes. The wheels held up too. I highly recommend it.

Great for 4-week carry-on only trip
I was planning a 4-week trip to Scotland and needed a case that fit the airline specs, but held as much as possible. I tried out a lot of different carry-ons and decided on this one. The things I looked at were packing volume, weight, handle sturdiness and operation, and extra features. I spent time testing how they maneuvered when packed with a heavy load and had a heavy backpack on top. (The weight can make a real difference as to how easily they roll.) Being expandable was a requirement. This is because you usually wear some of your bulkiest shoes and outerwear, etc., to create more room in the case. Then, once in country, it's possible to expand the luggage to pack those items when traveling town to town. You can also buy some things like toothpaste, hair spray, etc., to use while in country, and then discard before flying home. That can require the carry-on to expand, as well. The carry-on is fairly light weight and has good volume for packing as much as possible. It has a side handle, as well as a top handle. That really helps me lift it up to place on a rack. The placement of the zip divider panel was better than in some of the other bags. Some of the other carry-ons I evaluated had the zip panel sewn in pretty far down below the zipper edge of the case. This really reduced the depth that is available for packing on that side. This case did a better job with that. One thing that was really important to me was the maneuverability when the case was carrying a heavy load. This piece was the best. I can place a heavy backpack on top, and still whip around with ease on hard floors through the airport. I've taken it on trains and through train stations, as well. It's great. On the other reviews, I did note that people said this case showed scratches easily. Because I was going to a wet climate, I also ordered a clear plastic cover for the case. It worked in the rain, and also protected the case. It had to be checked on one occasion and was frequently loaded into the base of a bus. It still looks really good after 4 weeks of travel. One thing that Samsonite could improve on is the direction that the zippered panel opens when unzipped. You have to lay the panel over the other side of the case when it's open. It would be better if it opened to the outside so that the contents of the other side of the case was visible when the the panel is open. All and all, I am very happy with my choice. It worked well for a 4-week carry-on only trip. The color is beautiful, as well. One year later: This is still my favorite carry-on. It holds a lot and handles really well. It's great for US airlines and British Airways. The size is a bit more than allowed on Lufthansa and KLM/AIr France, so I haven't tried using it on their flights in case they are checking. I've seen people boarding with larger bags, though, so it boils down to whether or not you want to risk having it gate checked. When weight is an issue, this bag is about 1/2 to 3/4 lb. more than I would like, but it's not bad. I still haven't found a bag that is that much lighter, that holds as much and that maneuvers as well.

>>> Samsonite Freeform 24-Inch Medium VS Samsonite Omni 2 24-Inch Medium
Samsonite Freeform 24-Inch Medium Suitcase VS (Amazon exclusive) Samsonite Omni 2 24-Inch Medium Checked Suitcase MY EXPERIENCE Initially, I chose the (Amazon) Omni 2 suitcase, based largely on the size and styling, and I ordered 2 (NEW, directly from Amazon, full price, NOT "warehouse deals" etc, NEW). Both arrived simultaneously, but one arrived damaged in a non-original box. The damaged Omni had deep scratches and abrasions. Two wheels of the damaged Omni were very badly damaged and it was obviously that the poorly-designed wheels almost "invite" damage on escalators or luggage handling machinery. Inspecting both suitcases, I found the key locks are poorly designed; inconvenient to use, and "inviting" damage. So, I returned them to Amazon and purchased 2 Samsonite Freeform suitcases, the closest reasonably-priced option, which, although not ideal for me, is a superior choice compared to the Omni PRICE the inferior (Amazon exclusive) Omni 2 suitcases were was $209 each. The superior (overall) Freeform suitcases were $172 each. PROS for the Freeform > About $37 each less expensive than the Omni 2 > About 3pds lighter > Considerably larger than the Omni (albeit larger than I would have preferred) > Hinges of both the Omni 2 and the Freeform are just fabric (mostly to allow both to be expanded) --- but even so, the hinges if the Freeform feel more solid. > The zipper tab on the locks of the Freeform lock flat (almost flush), and therefore, are less likely to be damaged by airport handling personnel. The zipper tab on the locks of the Omni lock vertically, very likely to damage other luggage during rough handling, and be damaged themselves. > The locks on the Freeform operate individually, and are easy to lock (just push down, one at a time. Each tab pops into place --- it's an easy one-hand operation. On the Omni, the locks operate together ---you have to hold open the lock with one hand, and hold both zipper tabs simultaneously with the other hand --- which is really difficult with only 2 hands --- it takes 3 hands. Actually, it takes, 4 hands if you also need to hold on the suitcase to keep it from rolling away PROS for the (Amazon) Samsonite Omni 2 > I like the boxy shape of the Omni 2. I see no advantage to the weird, space wasting, beveled sides of the Freeform. Caveat, the photos on the Amazon product page for the Freeform are somewhat of an optical illusions --- the bevel is not as pronounced nor as objectionable as it looks > I like the size of the Omni 2. It is significantly larger than a carry-on (but you might get away with carrying it on, on less-than full flights), or if you are flying business/first class. CONS for the Freeform > The Freeform (medium) is too big for my preference. Larger size means that more-than-necessary will be packed (especially by my wife). The packed suitcase will inevitably be heavier, which means more strain on my bad back when I have to lift it (in and out of a car trunk, onto and off of a baggage conveyor, etc. ) > From the photos of the Freeform on the Amazon webpage, I deduced that the lock would be on the top --- a far superior location, to minimize potential damage, and a far more convenient location. But no, the Freeform lock is on the side, just like that of the Omni RECOMMENDATION TO AMAZON If the next model, I presume the "Omni 3", fixes the problems with the wheels and lock, I may still be interested in purchasing two.

UPDATE: Handles is way too thin and weak for a heavy suitcase. Bought both medium and large
Update: originally this was a 5 star review, but I wish I could reduce it 1.5 stars. I traveled with the medium suitcase from my home to the airport, checked it in, then to my Airbnb. The FIRST thing I recognized the moment I got to the airport was the handle is not sturdy. It’s very thin in comparison to the suitcase and compared to other luggage. My suitcase was only half packed and the handle felt like it was going to break when I tilted my luggage and pulled it. On my way home, my suitcase was packed, and although it never broke, I had to often pull my suitcase with two hands while not tilting because it simple was not sturdy. I actually had to push it instead of walking it by my side because the handle just sucks. I had a heavy duffel on top of it and it really sucked to have to wheel with it. I used Away before and the handle bars are thick and crazy strong with you tilt and roll. You could put heavy duffels on top with no issue. This case, when fully packed there was no way I was going to tilt it. The exterior and interior is perfect. It packs SO much clothing. The expand feature is so helpful. It really is just the handlebar, which is a huge deal imo. My case cleaned off easy and it looks brand new. It got one scuff, not bad, but Away never scuffed. I wouldn’t buy it again because that’s how weak I feel the handle bars are. I wish I could return it. It’s cute tho Original review: I really am happy with this luggage, BUT I haven’t used it yet, so that will be the true test. I bought an Away medium case a few years ago and these feel so much better in my opinion. I think the Away shell might be harder, but I love the look of these and the quality feels pretty on par if not better. I bought the medium 24inch and 28inch. You can see my pics for comparison. Although it’s only a 4 inch difference on paper , it feels and looks way different. 28 inch is big! Def can fit a good months worth of clothing. I’m a light traveler, but want to shop with I travel and I think the medium would do just fine for that. If when I travel and have a bad experience, I’ll come back and rewrite this review. This review is initial impressions. Really love how they look, the rolling feels nice, and the inside is very spacious. I bought some color straps that really make it pop too!

Perfect IF only it was dirt proof. Lol
I love this set and I love white but then obviously it easily gets dirty. Would’ve been perfect if it’s dirt proof. Lol kidding aside, durability and baggage capacity is superb.

Worth every penny
Samsonite cabin luggage honestly one of the best travel purchases I’ve made. The suitcase feels sturdy without being too heavy, and the spinner wheels glide smoothly even through crowded airports. The handle is solid, the zippers feel premium, and the interior has enough compartments to keep everything organized.Love the colour
