Fire & Fragrance: From the Great Commandment to the Great Commission

The title of the book speaks for itself. A must read.

Sean Feucht kannte ich bereits und Andy Bird war mir ein Begriff, also hab ich während meines Outreaches das Buch angefangen zu lesen. Es ist in einem sehr guten, leicht verständlichem Englisch geschrieben. In dem Buch geht es einerseits um die jeweiligen (Lebens-)Geschichten von Sean und Andy, wie Gott sie berührt hat, ihnen Visonen gegeben hat, was er mit ihnen und ihrem Leben tun möchte. Weiter wird die Entstehungsgeschichte vom Burn 24-7 und dem YWAM Stream Fire and Fragrance erzählt. Das Buch ist voll mit den krassesten Berichten, was die beiden mit ihren Teams erlebt haben, was mich persönlich total ermutigt und anfacht, nach mehr von Gott mich auszustrecken. In dem Buch schreiben die beiden auch, dass es kein Patentrezept für Fire and Fragrance gibt, sondern es ein Lebensstil und eine tägliche Entscheidung ist. Sie geben ihre Erfahrungen weiter und teilen ihr Herz und Leben und aus diesen beiden spürt man einfach nur Gottes Feuer, Liebe und Leidenschaft fließen! Es ist wie an die Hand genommen zu werden und vorbereitet zu werden, auf das was Gott mit meinem Leben vorhat.

If you want to know and dive into what the Holy Spirit is saying and doing in these last days, this book is a must read!This book is an amazing testimony of how much more is possible and available for every one who is not only a New Creation in Christ, but desires to "enter into the Kingdom of God". There is an invitation going out from this book to seek fullness, and to wake up to a live full of fire and fragrance burning in us, and coming out of our lives. God is calling His people back to the place of real intimacy with Him, pursuing Him, to know Him, and know His heart, and from that place to go out as people that are send from before His face. We are called to know much more than just the text about God, we're called to know His heart, and to serve and reach out, not only from that place, but living IN that place of deep partnership with Him.

Sean Feucht is passionate about glorifying Jesus. Not theologizing. That's not what is central to the movement that is spreading in the nations-- but literal GLORIFYING OF JESUS through song.In Isaiah 24, it is clear that in the midst of the darkest chapter in world history when "gladness has been banished" and "people are crying out in the streets for lack of wine" that in the midst of THAT DARKNESS a move of God would rise--through songs from the West."They lift up their voices, they sing for joy; over the majesty of the LORD they shout from the west. This book is such a great revelation for this generation. God is going to do great things because He is great!
